This young girl is sweet as can be once she warms up to you. She is about 1 year old (best guess after seeing the vet) as you can see from her pictures she has some staining on her fur. This is due to her coming from a pretty rough hoarding situation. She was living in a crate in her own f***s. She was found with about 30 other dogs that we got as well. She is a bit standoffish starting out but once she warms up she wants to be pet and loved. Part of her adoption fee has been sponsored to help her find her furever home!

She is a timid girl, but loves to snuggle. Lucy has her own dance style when she wants your attention. She has been pretty dependable about going outside to potty. Lucy sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She gets along great with the dogs in my pack and hasn’t shown any interest in the cat. Given how timid Lucy is, she would do best in a home without small children.

Meet Gordo,

This sweet boy is about 8 months old and full of love. He does amazing in his crate at night. Great with other dogs, kids and farm animals. Gordo is doing amazing with his potty training. He is outgoing and wants his furever family to be apart of.

We don’t normally use this page to voice our opinions but can’t let this one go.

Breeders still do not have to be licensed. People can allow their animals to have litter after litter and rescues are who help try to stop the madness by at least altering them all, bearing the cost and burden of caring for all the unwanted “mutts” and kitties dumped everyday but ONLY RESCUES have to be licensed.

They tried making the fee be over $1000 but everyone fought it, so they got away with adding an “intake fee”.

Shelters don’t pay for this license btw but a well known one who we won’t publicly name (😜) locally spent a lot of their donated $ to make this law happen.

So that’ll be an extra $875 we get to pay FOR NOTHING.

Meet Duchess,

This girl is 8 years young and ready for her forever home. She is absolutely amazing! Potty trained in her fosters home, Great with other dogs, does well with dog savvy cats. She also sleeps peacefully in her crate. She has been around older kids and does well, she has not been around younger kids but we are sure she would be fine with how calm she is.

Duchess is available at Pups Place (4219 Main St in Springfield) today-friday from 12-4 if not adopted she will be available at Petsmart on Willamette from 12-4.

Last of his litter!!

Don't miss out on this special kid! His sisters all got adopted and Jalen is all alone. This adorable little guy and his sisters found themselves needing rescue at about 6 weeks old. We were able to get them to Oregon with the help of a rescue partner. Jalen loves people and attention. He has been working hard on learning to use a litter box and is doing great at it. Jalen is looking for a lap to call his own. In return he will cover you with kisses and fill your heart with joy!!

Jalen is available now at petsmart on Willamette until 7 pm if not adopted he will be available Saturday from 12-4 at the same location.

Keanna is a petite Mexican street dog who caught a ride north with two of her friends who have already been adopted. This is her first time in a house, so she's working on her manners, but she’s learning quickly. She already knows "sit" and "off," and we are working on “down,” not jumping on people, not barking at or chasing cats, and walking on a leash. She's food motivated, which makes training easier and has helped with the cats in particular. However, she’s currently not a good fit for a house with cats unless they are dog-savvy.

Keanna is a people dog. She’s shy around all new people, but with patience, she is willing to approach them. Once she knows and trusts you, she loves to be near you, sleeping beside you on the couch or in the same room where you are. She is also playful. She’ll chew on a toy on her own or play tug-o-war with her foster dog sister. She’s great with elementary-aged children she knows, snuggling and playing with them too. She’d do well in a home with elementary-aged children and older, with a young, playful dog, or on her own.

She is fixed, microchipped, UTD on shots, flea treated, and dewormed

Meet handsome 7 month old Prince! Found as a stray in Fresno, this lucky boy was fostered by his finder and never had to endure the shelter. Prince loves other dogs of all sizes and every person he has met! He also LOVES the water. Prince has been working on some basics like not jumping up and sitting. He is an energetic pup that will need an active family. A family that will continue his training and take him on lots of adventures is his greatest wish! Prince has so much love to give.

Meet 8 month old Zayn! This wonderful boy and his family found themselves at the shelter months ago. All the rest of his family got adopted, leaving sweet Zayn. This playful boy loves other dogs of all sizes, getting in the water any chance he gets and everyone he has met. Zayn has been working on his basics. He is very food motivated, so he is easy to train. Zayn is also learning no to gobble his food quite so fast with the help of a slow feeder. He is just a puppy, so continued training will help make him the best family member he can be. Zayn will make a wonderful companion and adventure, pal!

Felix is a sweet boy, with some words to say. He makes him self known when he wants your attention. Felix absolutely loves people, dogs, and other kitties. He also has an adorable purr to go with his affectionate side. Felix would love to go to a home with another kitty or wand toys. Both would work, too! Oh, my Cuteness

Meet Arden and Cyrus. These 2 were said to be purebred bred Maltese. However, we didn't get a chance to do a DNA test to ensure and think maybe mixed with poodle. Both are absolute sweethearts and good with other dogs.

These sweet babies are a true blessing to our rescue. Because of them, we will be able to help many other animals that aren't nearly as adoptable.
Some of you may question our pricing, but it helps to cover the costs that are incurred with other animals fostered by our rescue. Many require extensive vetting just to diagnose the problems, like a young shepherd we just took in who has issues with her front legs. It helps to cover the cost of transport and basic medical supplies. It helps to buy special food for tiny kittens or dogs allergic to certain ingredients. It helps us save the older dogs who just don't want to die at the shelter and deserve a warm bed and loving lap in their golden years. So, while it may seem excessive, it all goes back into the rescue to save more lives.

Meet Pluto,

A 5-6 year old (best guess after seeing the vet) is a bit standoffish due to the hoarding situation he came from. This poor guy was living in a crate in his own waste. Pluto needs a patient family to teach him how to be a dog. We are hopeful he will come around and be a great family pet with time and trust.

🐾 Guinea and Chacma 🐾

These sweet girls are mom and her baby. They do NOT need to be adopted together. Chacma is potty trained with consistency sweet as can be and the easiest girl to have around. She does fantastic with other dogs, dog savvy cats, and farm animals, although it is a bit too interested in chickens.

Guinea is a fantastic sweet puppy. She is mellow, although she gets her puppy spurts of energy. Is doing great with potty training with consistency. She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and farm animals.

Both have been around dogs much bu**er than them, and they have no issues

Sweet boy Nico is looking for his forever home! He is a chihuahua mix, around one year old. Nico grew up in a hoarding situation with about 30 other dogs. He’s initially shy but once he warms up, he’s a wiggly, goofy, snuggly little guy who loves to play- with people and dogs!
Nico is really coming out of his shell since we’ve had him. He’s learning about living in a home, dog toys, how to play, what the great outdoors are, etc. He adores our other dogs, and ignores chickens and goats. Nico is quite the snuggler and LOVES to be covered up, and sleep in bed (he can also sleep in his crate). When he gets nervous, Nico really relaxes when snuggled in our old ergo baby carrier.

Because of his past, Nico is nervous of new people at first but should settle down quickly with his adopted family. That said, he is more nervous about men and would do best with a gentle, dog-savvy man who is willing and able to go slowly with him to build trust and a bond. He loves our girls and has been around kids 7-13. It would be best to have another dog in the household to make Nico feel comfortable and help teach him about the world!

Nico will be available this Friday from 4-7 at petsmart on Willamette and if not adopted he will be available Saturday from 12-4 at the same location.

Goldie is a young 2 yr old female terrier mix who recently had puppies. She has beautiful amber eyes and the cutest ears. Goldie is thin from giving birth but has a good appetite and should be able to put on a bit of weight over the next month. She has been treated for internal and external parasites and had a much needed bath. Goldie is working hard at pottu training and can go all night without an accident. She loves to snuggle up with her people at night to sleep. Goldie will walk on a leash but seemed confused by the concept of taking a walk. She does not appear to know what toys are either. Goldie is a world class snuggler and follows my daughter and I everywhere. She does have some seperation anxiety and would prefer someone to be home with her. Goldie is very interested in my cats and would do best in a home without cats. She is not kid tested yet but we believe she would be okay with kids. She does great with my dog and should be fine with other dogs in the home. She is not food aggressive but appears to be treat motivated which will help when training her. When invited she will jump on my lap and offer kisses. Goldie is a sweet and cute little girl (under ten pounds) who would make a wonderful family dog!

Churro was supposed to come to Lucky Paws to find a new home. Instead, we were his last. After many tests, Churros body was shutting down. Complete liver failure and more. He rapidly declined and the kindest thing we could do was to let him go.
