🇺🇸🎆 Fireworks & Furry Friends: What You Need to Know This 4th of July 🐾💙

While we celebrate freedom with fireworks, many of our pets experience fear, confusion, and stress. Loud noises and flashing lights can trigger firework anxiety — causing pets to hide, shake, or even run away.

💡 Here are a few simple ways to keep your pets safe and calm:

🐶 Set up a quiet, comfy retreat inside your home
🎵 Use calming music or white noise to soften the booms
🪟 Close windows and curtains to block out flashes and noise
🆔 Double-check that their microchip & ID tags are up-to-date
🧥 Ask your vet about calming aids or anxiety wraps if needed

💬 Pro tip: Exercise your dog earlier in the day to help burn off nervous energy before the fireworks begin!

We are pleased to introduce Dr. Lauren Thibault, a new member of our team. Dr. Thibault will be with us a few days a week, and we are thrilled to have her expertise in serving our wonderful clients and patients!

Dr. Lauren Thibault (Dr. T) grew up in Ohatchee, AL and graduated from Westbrook Christian School in Rainbow City. She recently completed four years of veterinary school at Mississippi State University (Hail State! 🐶) following her undergraduate studies at UAB (Go Blazers! 🐉).

She has a special interest in both small animal and exotic medicine and is passionate about providing high-quality care to every pet she meets.

Dr. Thibault shares her life with two sweet dogs, Reesee and Phoebe, and two sulcata tortoises named Aruba and Tortuga 🐕🐢.

Outside of the clinic, she loves to travel, hike, and take on just about any adventurous activity. She’s thrilled to be back home and is excited to serve the surrounding communities she loves so much. ❤️
