For those of you who are newer to our lovely area once a year I always put out a reminder. We are going into the coyote mating season. Januar and February they are extemely agressive and active. Coyotes will be on the prowl looking for food. They have been known to scale a 12ft fence with ease. Here recently two hunters found a coyote den with over 50 dog and cat collars. There's no telling how many they killed that didn't have a collar on. A coyote can literally wait in the shadows you take your little dog out for potty break and turn your head and that is how long it can take for you to lose your precious fur baby. They have adapted to being the best skilled hunters and they go into peoples backyards all the time and on front porches. All of these pictures that I am posting are coyotes with beloved cats and dogs in their mouths. This is disturbing. We live in a very rural part of town where coyotes don't really have a natural enemy in our area. Protect your dogs and cats when outside especially.

Nasty wet cold weather outside? How about “Soup Kitchen” for supper at camp. I’m bringing Swamp soup and corn bread. Ryan Barker is bringing chili and Chris Lucas is doing grilled cheese.

No telling what else shows up on the menu tonight. I heard some rumblings about Gumbo???

We may not kill nothing but we gonna eat good!!

We have been asked or even told we are “looking for members”. We are currently not looking

We may be in February but we just like every other club we won’t know till then. We hope we have zero!!

As we stated previously if you wanna read the rules message us your email. We might end up with one maybe two openings

I wanted to reach out to everyone inquiring about joining our club. When you reach out to inquire about membership if you are serious add your email to the message.

However we won’t know about available memberships until mid February. Will probably only be a spot or two.

Here is how we select new members.

1. Family of members
2. Friends of members recommended.
3. Total strangers. Some of our best members were total strangers.

In February if you have read the rules and are ready to stroke a check and necessary slots are not filled from #1& #2 our team will reach out!!!

As always Richard Scarano gets on the board with a tall racked 8 point. A deer many of us were getting on camera who’s name changed from “Big 8” to “Camp stew” a couple weeks ago.
