This fabulous creature is Knox, a 4-month-old Maine C**n kitty. Native to America, Maine C**ns are one of the oldest breeds in the country. Maine C**ns don't typically reach full size/maturity until around aged 4. And if you look at the size of Knox's paws, he's got a lot of growing left to do! Living up to the breed's reputation of being loving and a great family pet, Knox was just as sweet as he could be. Have you ever had your pet's DNA tested? There are so many companies that do this test now, and we hear lots of clients tell us the results from having their pet's DNA "done." Well, this precious little lady comes from a very interesting genetic pool. Can you guess what she's got in her? Wirehaired Dachshund? Yep. Chihuahua? Yep. A smattering of other small breeds? For sure. Rottweiler? YES. Can you believe it? Meet Annie, the cutest little "Rottweiler mix" you'll ever meet. 😁 At about 13 years old, Annie loves to cuddle and give kisses and we can't think of anything cuter!

Who says good things don't come in small packages? We certainly don't and this pup is a perfect example of why! Meet Luna, a teeny-tiny 2 month old Maltese mix puppy. She weighed a whopping 1.6 pounds on her first visit with us! We took so many pictures then realized we had to have a point of reference for just how small she is, so Nurse Hannah held her up. Did you know that today is National Hugging Day? Well, we want to offer you not one but two opportunities to virtually hug these babies. Meet Blue and Hudson, two brothers that were recently adopted. Their family saw one of them online but were immediately drawn to the other and ended up bringing both home! Happy New Year! Begin the year with your furry friend’s health in mind. Schedule their annual wellness check and keep them happy and healthy all year long!

Happy Halloween! While you’re enjoying the spooky fun, remember to keep your pets safe and comfortable. No candy for them, and keep them inside to avoid any tricks! What’s your pet’s costume this year?

ITS TOMORROW!!! Our 3rd Annual Open House is tomorrow (Saturday 10/26) from 10am-2pm! We hope you will join us for the party, which will have fun for the whole family. In addition to tours of the hospital, there will be face painting, a petting zoo, bounce house, food trucks, free raffles, a "teddy bear clinic" and much more!!

October is World Animal Month! Let’s take this time to celebrate and protect all creatures, big and small. From wildlife to our furry friends at home, every animal plays a vital role in our world.

We had the joy of hosting "Future Dr. Layla" today as our "Vet for a Day." She met puppies, kittens, and full grown cats and dogs! She looked at slides on the microscope and reviewed x-rays taken by our nurses. She even stopped for a snack -- crucial to any successful day as a Vet! We can't wait to see you grow up and maybe work for us one day, Dr. Layla!
