Going forward all of our bunnies born and brought in and leaving will have preventative maintenance to make sure they have protection against all these nasty bugs before they leave!
Leeβs Lavish Lops has a fantastic way of it all laid out to understand how itβs done and links to get it all for continued care!

Iβve decided I am going to start sharing more things that I do with my herd, here on my page! These are things you can expect to have been done when getting a bunny from me.
This is just personal preference, there is no right or wrong in YOUR own barn!
βοΈ πππππππππ (Worm Prevention)
All of my rabbits get dewormed for the first time at 8 weeks of age (prior to leaving on transport) or going to their new homes. The rest of my herd is treated 3 x yearly in prevention towards any worms. All new rabbits entering my barn are also dewormed immediately, unless I am provided with prior deworming information. I personally use SafeGuard horse dewormer for my herd. Any Srβs/Grow outs are also re-treated for worms, prior to leaving on transport as an extra preventative. Moving forward, I will be supplying all buyers with the last date of deworming.

βοΈ ππππππππππ (Mite Prevention)
All of my rabbits are treated 3 x yearly in prevention against fur mites/ear mites. New rabbits are spayed the day they arrive at my quarantine area, and all babies are sprayed 3 days prior to transport. All my Srβs/Grow Outs are also treated 3 days prior to leaving on transport as a preventive measure. I personally prefer the PourOn Liquid Ivermectin, in which is diluted 50/50 with water, before spaying the chest, behind ears, belly & top of the back, and rubbed in with gloves. If you are doing this method, please be sure to use gloves, and not to over saturate the rabbit. Moving forward, I will be supplying all buyers with the last date of mite prevention.

βοΈ ππππππππππππ (Coccidia Prevention)
This is also a new one for my rabbitry, but I have recently decided it best to use all preventive measures to ensure a safe & healthy herd. This is a prevention towards Coccidia, which I will be doing 3x a year, with the rest of my preventions. All babies will be given this at 8 weeks of age, any new rabbits coming into my barn will be given this while in quarantine, and any Srβs/grow outs will receive it right before transport if applicable (unless recently given).
