Still looking for a forever home!
Hi Dog Wizard Family and other fellow dog lovers. We have a sweet boy (Buddy) who is still looking for his forever home. Can you help us, please? Like, share, send to anyone you think would be a good fit for Buddy's new family.
His foster mom has generously paid for his Dog Wizard Foundation training, so he is well on his way to being a wonderful Dog Wizard Dog. He is already a sweet, sweet boy who would make a GREAT pet dog!
Here are the notes from his Dog Wizard Trainer:
Buddy is an overall good boy. He’s nervous and fearful, but once he warms up, he’s very loving, cuddly, loves to play, and listens very well to the commands he has learned so far. he definitely needs structure and further training to work on his fear and reactivity. He needs someone who will be patient and respect his boundaries regarding his fear. He tends to get overexcited and frustrated, which makes him mouthy.
He is reactive to people; it’s fear-based, so it’s not something to ignore.
We don’t know his history, so it’d probably be best for him to go to a younger person without kids, since he is big and powerful.
He gets along with his foster family’s dogs, so I think another dog would work, but in my opinion, it’s best for him to be the only dog right now since he’s going to need a lot of work and attention from his owner.
If you’re interested in being Buddy’s forever home, or know someone who might be, please let us know, and we can provide more details on his reactivity and arrange a meet-and-greet.
Thanks so much!
Cheers,
Mike
