Willow dressed up for 💕

Willow is a 6-year-old Boxer mix and this sweet girl is still looking for her forever home 🥺

After spending a couple months in the shelter she headed off to a foster home where she is showing off what a perfect family member she is!

Willow has a calm temperament and could be categorized as a couch potato, but she also has a playful side. She's basically the perfect dog!

In her foster home she has also accepted her cat sibling! 🐈

With all the recent humidity we can relate to Frizzies name 💈

This is Frizzies! Frizzies is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu and Miniature Poodle mix with a whole lot of personality.

Frizzies made his TV debut this morning on KSDK News with Michelle Li, who even got down on his level to give him some love 💕

Frizzies is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly.

With a smile like that, who could resist adoptable Rory! 😁

Rory is keeping her spirits up even though she's been waiting for a forever home for more than 100 days. And she's loving celebrating

Rory is a 4-year-old beautiful Catahoula mix. She is a sweet dog who enjoys her long walks and butt scratches! 💕

She did get to spend some time in a home and we learned a lot about her there:

Rory is great about telling you when she needs to go out to go potty. She will do everything she can to avoid having an accident.
She is very calm, but does get the zoomies from time to time!

Rory's only preference for her forever home? No cats (they're too fun to chase!)

We've got a gem for you! This is Zircon! 💎

Zircon is an 8-month-old Pittie pup, who is always dressed in his best tux 🎩

Zircon came to us a stray back in May as a young pup. It wasn't long before he was looking for a forever home.

Zircon is a cute boy who has grown up in the shelter. He LOVES people and aims to please, but he still has a lot to learn. I mean he is just a goofy puppy after all!

This boy would love to find a home that will spend equal times playing and training him. He's very smart and is sure to excel in training classes.

Chief recently celebrated his first Gotcha Day in his forever home!

Some dogs have a harder start to life than others...

This is Shakira. Our Animal Cruelty Task Force received a call about a dog possibly hit by a car in need of help. They rushed her to Veterinary Emergency Group where she received emergency veterinary care overnight.

After she made it through the night she came back to the shelter where our amazing team got to work.

Shakira had sustained damage to her muzzle and was painful in her hind end. While she was in good spirits she still had a long way to go...

The veterinary team at Animal Medical Center of Mid-America got to work helping her. She received all the TLC she needed until she was finally ready to find a forever home of her own.

On the adoption floor, Shakira has gotten to know our staff and volunteers. She is a sweet girl, but nervous and still in need of some confidence building.

She is very scared of leaving the building... probably because of all that she had been through before she got to us.

Shakira is now ready to find a forever family! She only has one request for them... patience.
She is going to need time to adapt to living a life full of love, but we know it will be so worth it 💖

Happy Fourth of July!! 🇺🇸

Adoptable Frenchi is celebrating in her foster home, but dreaming of her forever home 💕

Our shelters are closed to the public today, but our dedicated staff and volunteers are making sure that the pets are taken care of today, as they do everyday.

We are wishing you all a safe and happy holiday weekend ❤️🤍💙
