Good evening everyone. We hope this message finds you and your fur babies well. We are doing a fundraiser in memory of sweet Hansel. Hansel helped this rescue grow and thrive and I know that even in his absence, he can help us once more. His absence is devastating, so let’s try to help as many more as we can!
We got a few bills recently and those few bills will be listed in the comments with photos.
Our balance at Edgewood currently is $2,716.27
We just needed a fix on the van that was $608.63
We owe alterclinic (where we get everyone fixed) $1201.50.
This is a grand total of $4,526.40
That’s absolutely crushing to see and think about owing out right now in our current financial state. This is one of those times that I talk about where we are hurting. Where no matter how much we try and raise and post, it’s just not happening like we need it to. Please know this isn’t to say that we don’t appreciate your donations EVERY TIME and every penny matters to us so so much. But it’s just a time where we are drowning. We are struggling to keep our head above water and bills are piling to the ceiling and we are just so worried.
We need you. All of you. Every single one of you, to donate in our Hansel’s name and help out the rescue that rescued him. If you have $1 today in memory of our sweet boy, we cannot tell you how much of a help it would be.
We always always want to show you the bills and the proof of payments. We will show you as soon as we can pay them (we paid the van but owe the rest still)
We pride ourselves on you knowing where every penny went and keeping you in the loop on what we make and how far we are getting.
Please know that we appreciate you all so much and we know that asking for your hard earned money is nothing to be taken lightly. We know that times are hard and everyone needs every penny they have. Just know that with your donations, you will be saving lives. Literally directly saving lives and helping a good thing keep going. ❤️

I’m going to try something fun. Hansel’s mom sent me photos of him almost every day. I’m going to try to share a photo that was sent to me for every person that donates and try not to share the same one twice 🙂

We need compassionate volunteers to provide care for abandoned, neglected, surrendered and elderly cats. Clowder House cares for over 300 sweet fur babies‼️ You can make a significant difference by dedicating just 3 hours of your time once a week to feeding, cleaning litter boxes, tidying up, sanitizing, laundering, and showering affection upon these precious feline companions. Sundays and Mondays are most needed right now but any day/eve you can come would be great!

Six years ago, we were cooking bacon on the stove, with Esther and the dogs at our feet, waiting for a sample to come their way. It was a lightbulb moment for us. That bacon on the stove could’ve been Esther.

Until then, we had been so distracted by her larger than life personality, and incredible curiosity for the world around her, that we almost forgot what the vet said the first time he met her. Esther was a commercial pig. We had fallen in love with an animal that was born to be our dinner, and we would never look at pigs the same way again.

That was the moment we decided to stop eating pork, followed almost immediately by all meat, and animal products altogether within a few months after that. Never in a million years did we think we’d be taking this path in life, but Esther helped us realize there was a better way. She made us want to know more, and the more we learned, the more we knew it was time to change.

It has been six years since that night, and the only thing we regret about making the decision to live an “Esther Approved” lifestyle, is not doing it sooner.

For you, for the animals, and for the environment.
