Khaos received his OFA Health Test Results and Passed with flying colors!

We also strive to perform OFA Spine Testing on all of our breeding dogs. With increasing numbers of dogs popping up with LTVs and even missing vertebrae it is important to us to have all the information available to make the best breeding decisions for not only our program but for the entire Mudi breed. The sire of our most recent litter, Shiner, was awarded Fastest Mudi at the MCA’s 2nd Annual Specialty. Despite being a very successful conformation dog, Shiner just participated in sports at the MCA Specialty so his owners could focus their confo energy on their gorgeous up and coming dog, Brew. 🥰

So happy for Cloey and Hunter at Flying Dog Ranch Mudi! They had a great showing and earned some prestigious awards!

Now that the Shiner x Gaia puppies are all in their new homes and doing great we have switched our focus back to sports!

Today Khaos was crowned the Overall Micro Dog Runner Up of the weekend at our Skyhoundz Disc Dog a Thon and Classic Qualifier! In the process Khaos snagged a few Q’s to the World Championships in Chattanooga, TN this September too! Just shy of his second birthday this boy really brings together structure, speed, drive, and intensity. We just adore how he is maturing!

☀️ICARUS☀️

It has been a dream to accomplish an overall championship with one of our mudi! We have attempted with Rocket and Kioti multiple times only to achieve Runner-Up… until this past weekend.

Winter and Icarus played in a stacked group of Skyhoundz microdogs all with world championship accomplishments and amazing world champion and multiple time world champion handlers. In that incredible line up, Icarus won 3 of the 5 events and placed in the other 2. 🥹

Icarus and Winter both worked so hard Saturday in the blazing heat and ended up playing until after 1am. Only to come back Sunday to play multiple rounds of Xtreme Distance and UpDog, placing and earning points towards titles in other games.

Winter and Icarus are now qualified in every Skyhoundz World Championship game except Pairs D/A and ready to take on Chattanooga, TN in September. ❤️🥏❤️

💛This past Saturday was DRAFT DAY!❤️

🏈 Hunt is headed to a wonderful pet home in Georgia to be the right hand man and best buddy to his new owner! His new owner loves the outdoors and was searching for the perfect buddy to join him hiking, camping, and exploring!

🏈 Pacheco is headed to New Mexico to be a show and sport prospect! He has an older mudi brother who is so excited to meet him and I am sure together they will have so much fun and get into all sorts of Mudi mischief between doing all the sport things together!

🏈 Mahomes is headed to Ohio to be a show and sport prospect for his new owner who is already apart of our Mythic family. 💕 His owner is so excited to start their journey in showing and we think Mahomes is going to be the perfect partner to learn with!

🏈Worthy headed home to Texas with Flying Dog Ranch Mudi as their pick puppy from the litter! We are so excited for Worthy’s future as she carries on her father’s legacy with Cloey and Hunter! She is such a wonderful example of a mudi and has so far been a wonderful addition!

🏈Tillery is headed to Kansas City to live right next to Arrowhead Stadium! She’ll be a show and sport prospect for her new owner who is already apart of our Mythic family. 💕 Her owner is so thrilled to get another show/sport prospect from us and this was the perfect second addition to their pack!

🏈Rice is headed to Florida to be a sport prospect and a wonderful pet to her new owner! We have high hopes that Rice will be able to fulfill her owner’s dreams of becoming a therapy dog!

Overall we are so pleased about the consistency and quality of this litter! Their structure and temperaments are exactly what we hoped for in this cross. They are all very sensible, friendly, driven, and happy babies! We can not thank Cloey and Hunter from Flying Dog Ranch Mudi enough for making this dream pairing a reality. It took a village to make this dream litter come true and a dream they are! ❤️💛❤️

We can not wait to share updates about the puppies as they are united with their people and take on the world together. 🏟️🏉

After careful deliberation, we are on the ✨Hunt✨ for 🏡 for two of the Kansas City Chiefs!

Both will be placed on non-breeding contracts, one has great potential for conformation and would be a fantastic dog to learn conformation with! Both puppies have medium-high toy drive, medium-high food drive, great confidence and curiosity, as well as a fantastic temperament. We believe this pairing would be excellent for the first time mudi owner who is ready to dive head first into the breed!

The Kansas City Chiefs Litter ventured outside for the first time yesterday! I of course had to bring the camera out to take photos of everyone exploring for the first time. Our landscapers are a little delayed on coming to visit us due to the extreme heat we have been experiencing here in Missouri. So our grass is a little long, but honestly it made the photos that much more whimsical and special and the puppies had so much fun. 😍

We usually like to let them explore outside closer to 4 weeks, however the heat index was over 100 degrees in the afternoon every single day the last week. I know most of the US has been feeling the heat too, it was just not safe for babies to venture. So we’ve been making do with indoor exploring and seeing new things!

This past week puppies have moved into a new weaning pen with momma Gaia visiting them and not with them 24/7. They transitioned to the weaning pen perfectly and have had no accidents in their sleeping area (*knock on wood*) with consistent potties in their potty area. They have transitioned almost fully to mush and Gaia is appreciative since all of them have their puppy teeth fully in or close to it! This coming week we can to start introducing hand feeding and introducing a clicker to build foundation skills for training!

Overall we are head over heels for these babies! They have taken everything we have thrown their way in stride. We are so excited to watch them continue to mature!

We do not place puppies on a “first come, first served” basis! We want to build a relationship with our puppy buyers so we can best give you support for the lifetime if your mudi! Our application is extensive to help us learn about your goals and aspirations; and figure out what areas you struggle in training and which areas you thrive. These things help us place the perfect puppy for you!

3 weeks really flew by fast! 💨

Behind the scenes here at Mythic we have been making sure everyone has been healthy and thriving. We have been prioritizing Gaia as she learns and embraces motherhood (finally!) and making sure Hunt has proper support for his healing. So while we haven’t been updating as much as we did with the Fairytale Litter, it is because we are doing all of our normal rearing protocols plus making sure puppies are thriving!

Our little Kansas City Chiefs are starting to develop personalities! We finished our ENS/ESI portion of the first few weeks of life and now we are moving onto the visual and auditory stimulation of their development. We are putting new visual and tactical things in their whelping box to begin their first baby steps of socialization.

They are beginning to show interest in toys, tugging, biting, and run up to the door of the whelping box when they see us. I already see so much of their daddy Shiner (Flying Dog Ranch Mudi) and their momma Gaia. 💕 This week we introduced a separation between their potty area and sleeping area to create an easier transition for potty training. After a few days they are becoming more and more consistent!

We are so excited to continue to watch them grow and mature! ❤️💛❤️

UKC Reserve Best In Specialty Show goes to Rocket!

While Winter holds down the fort at home with Gaia's puppies we made the trek to Kalamazoo, Michigan for the North American Mudi Alliance's National Breed Specialty in conjunction with UKC's Premier event! I am happy to report back that we cleaned up Specialty Day! I will make more posts about our other accomplishments but this is a Rockaroo appreciation post first. ❤️

Rocket not only won the Best Veteran in Specialty Show but also won the Champion Class, officially (and yes I triple check this time 😵‍💫) finishing his Grand Championship! Then received Reserve Best in Specialty Show! At 8 years old, Rocket has continued to age like a fine wine and I have a feeling we are only getting better from here. Rocket is officially:

Over the weekend we got to see Sango and her mom Ashleigh! The drove from Kansas City to St Louis to compete in one of our local Disc Event. Sango is still a baby at just nearly 15 months and is doing great! She had some solid rounds and was not at all phased by the sounds, sights, and people around!

Sango and Ashleigh are working towards their Disc Dog Bronze title through , the only disc venue that titles through AKC! Sango is also working towards her AKC Championship and her UKC Grand Championship. ❤️
