Judy's Forgotten Jewells We rescue animals in danger of euthanasia and place them into forever loving homes. We are based out of Jewell Animal Hospital, and founded by Patricia L.

Judy’s Forgotten Jewells became a licensed Non-Profit Animal Rescue Group in the summer of 2009! Smith, DVM. The name Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is in honor of Dr. Smith’s mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Since starting rescue work in 2006 Judy’s Forgotten Jewells has placed over 500 Dogs, Cats, Puppies, & Kittens in forever loving homes! Most of our animals come from sh

elters where they were at risk of being euthanized! We are run solely on volunteers and clinic staff! Our adoption fee helps cover a fraction of the cost to spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip implantation & activation, medical treatment, and any food used to feed the animal! We are a NO KILL rescue, so once an animal is adopted that opens up a space for us to bring in a new at risk animal! We are very passionate about our rescues and strongly encourage all pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation!

✨Happy Foster Friday!! ✨

Today's foster highlight is LaRoyce!

Laroyce is a 15 year old sweet senior boy who was originally adopted from Judy's in 2010. In September of 2024, we received a call from the Humane Society that his owners had surrendered him because they could no longer afford his medical care. We immediately went and picked him up and brought him back to our facility.

Since being in our care, LaRoyce has received the medical care he needed, which involved an oral procedure and a thyroidectomy. He is loving and enjoys napping most of the day. We think he would make a very easy and laid back addition to any home. We would love to find a foster for LaRoyce where he can relax during his senior years until he is adopted!

Rocky was able to enjoy some time out of the shelter over the weekend! He did very well and even made a new friend ❤

Rocky is a very sweet and well-mannered boy, but he does require some time to open up. Due to this, he does not always make the best impression during appointments. We are so happy that he was able to go into a home environment so that people can see how loving he becomes once he is comfortable! This perfect boy just needs a patient family to adopt him.

On Sunday 2/16 we took in a pregnant momma cat, Raven, and sent her to a foster home where she could have her babies in a quiet and safe environment.

We are happy to announce that over the weekend she gave birth to two beautiful and healthy babies! They are all doing well and will take this time to be together until the kittens are weaned. Raven will then be spayed and available for adoption.

It is kitten and puppy season and we are hoping to be able to take in some more mothers in need this spring. Please consider donating to help us be able to care for cases like Raven!

Donner is the lone puppy remaining from his litter! He is 4.5 months old and a small Husky mix. His mom is 25 pounds so we imagine he will be around 35 pounds. He is very sweet but a little shy with new people. He is looking for his forever family!

We are open from 10-3 today for walk-in adoption hours if you'd like to meet Donner.

HAPPY FOSTER FRIDAY!!!

Today we are highlighting Snoopy and Skipper who are available to foster separately!

These brothers have been with us since August when they came to us as pups. They are both very sweet, cuddly, and playful! They do well on walks and with other dogs too. We would love to see them enter foster homes where they can learn about home life and get some time to decompress from growing up in a shelter.

Berni boy got to stay with a short-term foster to get out of the kennel and decompress for a couple days!

Berni's foster said that he is extremely shy, but is the absolute sweetest and gentlest pup! It will take him a while to get used to normal household sounds and things, but with some patience, he will do just fine. He did great in his crate and going potty outside and overall was a perfect house guest. She thinks that he would do great in a home with another dog to help him feel more confident!

Berni boy was hoping to find his forever valentine, but sadly is still here with us 🥺

This amazing sweet soul has been with us since July when he was pulled off of a euthanasia list from another shelter. He is a very shy boy, but has opened up to staff and loves his cuddles, walks, treats, and especially playtime with other dogs! He is a perfect gentleman for medical exams, nail trims, and baths.

Recently, Berni has been showing signs of kennel stress, he is circling and has even broken a couple nails despite getting extra enrichment, walks, and having a behavioral medication plan. We really need to get this poor baby into a home or foster so that he can decompress even if it's for a short period of time! If you are unable to foster or adopt him, please share this so that we can find someone who can. He would do amazing in a home with other dogs to help him feel more comfortable, but would also do okay as an only dog.

Meet the Sweets Litter! These adorable pups and their mom, Valentine, were brought to us over the weekend and we are so in love with these baby floofs!

They will be ready to go home on Tuesday, February 18th by appointment. If you are interested in meeting them, please submit an application to start the process to set up an adoption appointment.

The Sweets Litter are believed to be mixed with German Shepherd, Great Pryenees, and Golden Retriever.

They are roughly 10 weeks old and range between 17-22 pounds already! There are 4 males and 3 females in the litter.

Reginald Purrsworth

This is Reginald Purrsworth! We believe that he is a 4 year old Domestic Shorthair Cat. Reginald came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on December 26th. He was living as a stray but a Good Samaritan noticed he was limping and social so they picked him up and brought him to us. He was dealing an abscess on his leg, which has been treated and is improving. Since he has been in care, staff members say that he is just the sweetest and most handsome man we've ever met! He is very affectionate and loves attention. He seems to get along with other cats. Any Questions? Email us at: [email protected]. We are open for walk-in adoptions until 3 PM today or would be happy to schedule an appointment so you can meet him this week!

Pocus and Honeycrisp spent the day exploring this tunnel in hopes of finding a forever family around one of the turns!

Snowball, Snickerdoodle, and Gingerbread

Snowball (mostly white, male), Snickerdoodle (female), and Gingerbread (white spot on back, female) are ready for adoption! These playful purr machines are 8 weeks old and excited to find a home for the holidays!

Observe the wild Pocus in her natural habitat. She is a stunning beauty, a cunning hunter, and an A+ purr machine. She is available for adoption! Walk-in hours today from 10-3. Mary Kate & Ashley

Mary Kate and Ashley are excited to meet potential adopters today! We are open for walk-in adoptions until 3 PM today and have appointments available for every day this week.

Daphne, Gimli, and Boromir

Puppy play time for Daphne (black and white), Gimli (brindle), and Boromir (tri-color)! All three of these pups have been patiently waiting since June to be adopted. They would love to have their very own backyards and wouldn't mind a sibling or two to run around with!

Next up on our team of Jewell All Stars is Lainey! She is about 1.5 years old and weighs only 30 pounds. She has tons of personality and loves toys and playing with people. She likes other dogs a lot and is working on her manners.
