Here are some great tips from our friends at Austin and Kat - it's not too late to get started on your Halloween Pet Guide:

Here are a few tips for you:
* Avoid putting any costumes on pets that aren’t comfortable wearing them, and if you do dress up your pet, be sure the costume is pet-safe and the proper size for the animal.
* Keep all candy, nuts, and other treats out of reach of pets at all times. This includes countertop dishes that pets may be able to reach, or discarded candy spilled on the ground.
* Use pet-friendly Halloween and autumn decorations that have non-toxic materials. * Keep any dangerous decorations away from pets and securely out of reach.
* Always supervise pets around any type of fire or open flames, including candles, firepits, and fireplaces. Be sure all flames are fully extinguished after use.
* Crate pets during trick-or-treat hours or put them in a safe, comfortable room away from disturbances. Alternatively, stay out on your porch to greet trick-or-treaters so the door isn’t always being opened and closed, giving pets fewer chances to escape.
* Be sure your pet is always wearing updated identification tags, or if the animal is microchipped, that its chip registration information is current and accurate.
* Halloween can be a fun holiday for all family members, even the four-legged, furry, or feathered ones, if you take steps to keep your pets safe from the different dangers the holiday can present.

With care, there’s no reason for our pets to fear even the spookiest celebrations at Halloween. 🐾🐾👻🦇🎃

This is where it all began - our first shop at Geyer & Mississippi in McKinley Heights - we opened in November 2004. It's hard to believe we're going to be 20 years old next month! What an adventure it has been! It's a Treat Extravaganza on Saturday, from 10 AM - 2 PM

We're sampling out a lot of our new dog treats on Saturday so you'll be able to create your own Puppy Trail Mix for your Fall walks. Your dog can try out some new treats and then you just put an assortment of your dog's favorite treats in our compostable bag and you'll have your own trail mix for your outdoor adventures full of some of your pup's favorite treats! Wow! What a week! We were fortunate to be invited to the Fromm Family Foods Heritage Tour in Wisconsin. They sure rolled out the hospitality for all of us. A big Thank You to the 5th Generation Fromm/Nieman Family who really knows how to celebrate their heritage and show their guests what their pet foods are all about. We visited their own cannery and kibble facilities, were entertained at their great-grandfather’s home, drank some beer, ate some cheese curds, enjoyed a pig roast, enjoyed Octoberfest in Cedarburg, WI and learned a lot about what makes their pet foods different from others. The big bonus was hanging out with other cool stores from around the country! We’re proud to carry Fromm Family Foods @ Four Muddy Paws! 🐾 🐾🧀

Wow! What a fun day! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at our Pet Health Fair today in Lafayette Square! It was so great to meet so many wonderful dogs and cats! A huge thank you to all of our great brands and community partners who made this an amazing event along with our Four Muddy Paws team who rocked it at the event and in the stores. Together we’re all helping our pets to be happier and healthier! 🐾🐾❤️🙏

George is getting all the scoop on our Pet Health Fair on Saturday at Fountain Plaza in Lafayette Square. The fun begins at 12 PM - 3 PM - we'll have a Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic with House Quick Fix Pet Clinic, pet adoptions, pet health, training and fitness experts and many of our brands will be there with samples and to help you find some good options for your pet! Plus, One Brewery & Distillery will be on hand with a couple of Fall cocktails for a little libation in the afternoon! Plus, and VERY EXCITING, we have very special Pet Health Fair Savings at our Lafayette Square shop all day long - you're honestly not going to want to miss this opportunity to stock up. We can't wait to see you tomorrow!
