On December 18, 2004, we opened our doors for the first time. It was definitely a "soft" opening, as they say. The grooming salon build-out wasn't quite ready and we hadn't found a groomer yet. But we had fresh-baked dog cookies made with love by Paul, and hand-stitched dog bandanas from Grandma Mickey to sell, we had an assortment of toys and accessories and some dog and cat foods to offer our pet-loving neighbors, and we were so anxious to open our doors for the Holidays. The CWE was hosting one of their first Holiday Walks. I couldn't wait to introduce myself to the neighborhood as "your neighborhood source for all your pet needs!" Our dog and inspiration, Wolfang greeted everyone at the top of the stairs and showed folks where we kept the treat bowl. He would train many people over the years to give him a treat upon entering and exiting the store. In the coming months we would finish the salon and find groomers to serve our community, we would grow our inventory, and I would learn what it takes to run a business!

The road has been long and winding these 20 years. We've grown a family here among our staff and our clients. We are very proud to have reached this milestone anniversary.
