If you live outside the Saint Louis, MO metro area, you are welcome to enter, you just have to cover the shipping cost if you win.

Drawing will be Friday July 19th at 8pm. Winner will be picked live using a random online picker.

We urgently need donations to continue caring for the animals in rescue. We can not start taking in new animals until we can get things to fall back in place. As things are right now, we are struggling to care for the long time animals we have, most of which are being paid for out of pocket (at least $500 weekly). This is something that is no longer feasible. So, there is no other option than to get this fundraising thing figured out.
I will also start working on getting this page moving again and post regular updates. My apologies for the lack of those, I just have a hard time being on social media (I know lousy excuse). And as of late it is just so very difficult to not become discouraged.

Please, please consider helping us out. We hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July and everyone's pets are no worse for wear.

When I got to the shelter back in February, everyone said, "Don't get too attached to Clare! She'll be adopted before you know it!"
They said I was so cute and sweet, such a squishy, sassy, chunky, chatty, short-legged marshmallow of a cat, that I would be absolutely irresistible. That people would be lined up around the block for me.
They said I'd be amazing in all kinds of homes because I'm super-friendly, easygoing, and perfect with dogs and other cats.
And yet... here I am!
I'm ten years old, but... so what? I'm healthy and active, I love to play and chase bugs, and ten isn't even really that old. Also, as you can see, I am ROUND! The people here would tell you that I should stay on a diet and not have any snacks, but... they're dirty liars. I never get fed. I haven't been fed in weeks. I'm wasting away over here.
The cat treats are kept under the counter, by the way. I could show you where. Just for... you know... educational purposes. I can also show you where my baby wipes are. Because I'm so spherical, I need a little help with... personal grooming. Not to make it weird, but I actually kind of like my butt baths. I quite willingly stand still and help you out by grooming my front feet.
When I asked why I haven't been adopted yet, my friends here said I just hadn't met the right person. So that's why I'm here! Because I know if everyone could see how utterly outstanding I am, someone would RUN to get me! I'll be here, waiting!

Meet Reo, a charming and sweet young boy who is not only crate trained but also fully potty trained. Meet Old Dan, our latest arrival this morning. He is a 10-12-year-old shepherd/boxer mix. Although he was chipped, we were unable to retrieve any information from it other than the fact that he is originally from Illinois and the rescue organization he came from is no longer in operation. We are seeking a foster home, adopter, or any rescue organization that is willing to help this sweet old man find a new loving home. Let's spread the word and find Old Dan the care and comfort he so deserves.
