Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁 We know those furry faces put on the pressure during this holiday, so remember your pet-safe snacks:
— Raw, unseasoned veggies (like green beans or carrots), unseasoned sweet potatoes or an apple piece without the skin. Moderation is also key with any snack.

Stay away from anything seasoned, spiced or made with garlic, onion, chives, leeks, gravy, sugar, butter or milk. Avoid the bread, uncooked dough & absolutely no to desserts.

The turkey? A small amount of unseasoned white meat can be tolerated. However, the skin & dark meat tend to be fattier, thus best to avoid. An absolute no-no is turkey bones!

Also remember to safeguard those trash cans— we all know how patient & sneaky our pets can be. 😉

Have you adopted an older pup or lived with a golden oldie for awhile? We here at Affton understand that special bond.
