This 2-year-old, 50lb cutie is wide awake and ready to find his forever home!

He’s playful, social, and loves his walks — he’s done great on pack walks and even enjoyed some playgroup time. We think he could have a dog friend with slow introductions and a little patience.

💔 Mikey Boy Needs a Hero 💔

Please… don’t scroll past him.
Mikey Boy has been with us for 325 days — almost a full year of watching other dogs go home while he stays behind.

He’s one of our Life Saver dogs, and that means he really needs someone to step up for him now.

Mikey Boy is a good dog — he’s just misunderstood. He can guard his things sometimes, but that’s something that can be managed with patience and understanding. Because of that, he’s looking for an adult-only home. He might even do fine with another dog if introductions are slow and resources are managed.

He’s around 3 years old, so smart, and loves learning new tricks (mostly because he gets to earn treats and show off 😂). Underneath it all, he just wants someone to finally pick him.

He’s waited long enough.

Poor Scottie is too stressed to eat regular dry food so we have to make him a special platter of wet foods. And Andromeda was helping us prep it and being in our food taster. She approves!

He also is a social eater and wants a buddy to stay with him, so Zeal hung out in his kennel to give him comfort while he ate.

We open at 1pm tomorrow, please someone come foster or adopt him!! 🥺

Winnie The Pooh is here to start this Facebook Friday Takeover!! Can you tell he is loving the weather this morning 🥰

Our sweet boy is on day 107 (yes, ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN DAYS in the shelter) with only a couple nights out with our shelter manager and one of our volunteer trainers. He’s sweet as honey but, quite honestly, losing himself at the shelter. Look at how happy he is once he is away from the building!

We are determined for him to wake up in a real home tomorrow! We open at 1pm today, come save our Winnie! 🍯
