It’s with deep, deep heartbreak to inform you my bestest buddy Nipper has crossed over. 😭😭💔 I am bawling as I write this. It’s taken me a few days to muster up the ability to post this.

This guy held a special place in my heart (they all do though). He was such a lovely gentleman. Nipper was on my table since 2015. He would just lie down and fall asleep while I handstripped him. I would just flip him over to the other side and he wouldn’t flutter an eye. He came in every 2 weeks for a looong time! He was adorable. 🥰

Nipper and I did some traveling together to grooming shows and classes. He was even a model in a Handstripping Class at a Grooming Convention by a GroomTeam USA member! 🇺🇸

His sweet sister Ginny passed a couple of years back. I know he missed her as we all did. I know she was waiting at The Rainbow Bridge for him. 🌈

His family are the kindest and most caring people. They gave it their all until the end. He was loved greatly and deeply not just by myself but his family and his human little sisters. 🏡

He was a gentle soul, an old soul. I loved him so much. He will be missed tremendously. 😭💔

May you Rest In Peace my sweet buddy. I will miss you Nipper. ❤️🐾❤️

Look how beautiful Otis’s handstripped coat is! Handsome little guy. He visits every 4 weeks and has his entire life! I’m the only who has ever groomed him! 🥰

I love the trust and caring relationships I’ve gained all because I love your dog like my own. ❤️

PS) Otis has his very own backyard now because his family just bought a new house! Congratulations! They are a WONDERFUL family and I adore them all very much! ❤️🏡

I have 6 Miniature Schnauzers that visit my table every 4-6 weeks. Owen is one of them. He was a rescue and lost his sister Rosie not too long ago.

He is the most loving little guy. He tucks his head into your neck when you whisper sweet nothings to him. He is the sweetest. I love him!

I haven’t taken new clients in over a year but periodically I can accommodate one.

So everyone, meet sweet Rosie Posie! She was so scared when she first came in and she is a completely different dog now. Today was only her third visit to DDD!

She is doing so much better with the blowdryer and greeted me at the door. She said “See ya Mom”! It was so cute.

She looks sad in her picture but she was concentrating on that cookie. 😂

Hello friends and clients!

I will be closing at 1 pm on 7/3 to have hand surgery. I am scared to death! This is my first ever surgery and on my dominant hand. My hands are my livlihood.

I will be closed 7/4-7/9 and will resume regular business hours on 7/10 @ 7 am.

The Fourth of July is upon us. PLEEEASE KEEP YOUR PET SAFE!

Every year hundreds of pets go missing on July 4th. I always remind you to make sure id tag is current. Collar is tight. Microchip info is current. Your fence is secure. Your gate latch is secure. Maybe get an airtag! They are amazing!

Even the most passive of pets can become spooked. If you have a noise reactive dog, walk it on your leash EVEN IN A FENCED YARD. A scared dog will do whatever it takes to flee.

Please leave water bowls outside for wildlife.

Heartbroken yet AGAIN. 💔😭

My buddy Buzz. I looooved this little guy soooo much. If you know me you know I adore my wee piggies. Buzz would get a full bath, blowdry, and haircut all year except the winter time. Piggies can catch pneumonia very easily so we don’t get them wet in the winter.

This little guy was so sweet and so tolerant. He truly enjoyed his pampering.

He had a great little family who loved him dearly. He will be missed tremendously.

The Boys! These two are Django and George Michael! Django is a professional cookie eater and so is George Michael but he had an upset belly today and couldn’t have any. George gets handstripped and Django gets his Schnauzer trim.

These boys are super sweet and George is also a professional ball go getter! He can play ALL DAY LONG! Ya know, those terriers! Those ears! 😍

They have been visiting for many years (I forgot to look how long) and are on my table every 4 weeks. I adore them both and love them like my own. 🥰❤️

This is my buddy Brody. He is around 10/11 years of age and STILL gets handstripped AAAAND, ready for this, WALKS 12 MILES A DAY WITH HIS MOM!!!! I’m assumming in this heat they are not though. 🤯😳

Can you believe it!? I could never walk 12 miles much less DAILY!!! 😱

Totally amazing. Great family. Lovely client and of course I love Brody too. ❤️

Handstripping you ask?

Handstipping is what it is, pulling coat out by hand instead of clippers. St*****rs do use tools; stripping knives, stones, rubber finger grips, sometimes powder for a nice hold. I have a ton of these tools! Lol Handstripping is a dying art and an old technique used on Terriers, some Hounds and some Toy Breeds. It is used to keep a correct coat on breeds in abovementioned groups, mainly for hunting. A harsh, hard coat keeps them protected on the hunt and elements.

Here I am demonstrating handstripping on Punch, a Miniature Wirehair Dachshund. He’s a dream to strip and a cutie patootie to boot. His coat usually pulls like butter.
He usually lies on his side and falls asleep. 🥰

Meet Acer! This cutie patootie was rescued from a bad situation and was blessed to find his perfect people. He has a family! He’s been visiting for about 2 years (I’d have to double check) and has come so far with his grooming. He doesn’t want treats, oh no, he wants baby talk and whispers of how adorable he is. He then scoots across the table to lie his head in your neck under your chin. OMG. SO SWEET. He just wants LOVE!

I love him and adore his family. 🥰

Meet Gracie and Charlie. Gracie is a senior Wirefox Terrier and Charlie is a Welsh Terrier who gets a scissor cut not a breed trim. Gracie no longer gets handstripped due to age so both terriers are clipped. I just wanted to show you that their parents (2 seperate clients) like the fuzzy look on their little faces. Their parents like a big round bushy beard. Both Gracie and Charlie are very well behaved and visit every 4 weeks and have for many years; Gracie for over 10 years and Charlie since he was a puppy. Just because you have a purebred doesn’t mean you must get a breed trim. I can do what you like!

They’re adorable and fun to groom. 🥰

Heston is 3, a finished champion as of about 6 months ago and CEO (chief entertainment officer).

Cancer sucks. Heartbroken yet again. 💔

My sweet, sweet Girl Scout crossed over. I am just devastated. Her grooming appoinment was the very next day. She came to my table, no joke, every 4 weeks for 10 years.

This is her last picture from home her Mom sent me. The stained glass window rays were shining down on Girl Scout. I guess that was a sign.

I loved her. She didn’t want cookies, she’d rather have a “good girl G” or “pretty girl” and a hug. She was the sweetest.

She will be greatly missed. I loved her like my own. ❤️😭
