🌟 Meet Twilight! 🌟

We're excited to introduce you to a special new arrival at our shelter – Twilight! She made her way to us from St. Louis County Animal Care and Control, where she was surrendered due to too many pets in her home.

When she first came to County, Twilight was in pretty rough shape. She was suffering from a severe URI (upper respiratory infection) and spent most of her time hidden away in a box, growling at anyone who came too close. Despite her fear and discomfort, the caring and persistent staff at County knew she needed extra help and reached out to us.

We went to meet her, and when we saw her, she looked exhausted and quite under the weather. She was nestled deep into her box, so we could barely see her, but when we gently offered a fluffy wand, she rubbed her chin against it. That small gesture gave us hope – it showed us that maybe, once Twilight felt better and had the space to heal, her fearful behavior would prove a result of anxiety, not ferality.

With the County team completing her medical treatment, we were able to bring Twilight back to our shelter, and she’s been settling in. It's been a few days, and she has stayed hidden until today when we got our first glimpse of her – she's a stunning cat! She has a beautiful Tortie coat, and even though she tucked back into her carrier and growled when we got too close, we have hope.

Her original name was Onion at County, but we felt Twilight was a better fit for this quiet, mysterious beauty, who only wants to come out when it's calm and peaceful. We know it will take some time for her to be ready for adoption, but we are committed to giving her the space, time and attention she needs to heal. We'll keep you updated on her progress!

🌸 Meet Strawberry! 🌸

This gorgeous 5yr old calico girl just arrived from St. Louis County Animal Care & Control. She lost her home when her owner became ill and had to enter hospice, so she’s been through a big change lately. Despite it all, she’s incredibly sweet and her beautiful, distinct markings make her one-of-a-kind. 💕

Strawberry will be available for adoption once we’ve had a chance to make sure she’s healthy and ready for her next chapter.

A huge thank-you to our friends at Saint Louis County Pet Adoption Center for partnering with us to give this amazing cat her second chance. Let’s all give a big, warm welcome to Strawberry! 🐾

We don't know about you, but our Friday has been full of...awesome kittens!! Just look at them all 😻

They’re not ready for adoption just yet, but they will be soon—and trust us, they’re worth the wait. Every color, every personality, every bit of kitten chaos you can imagine… they’ve got it.

We’re so glad they’re here and safe, but we’ll be honest—kittens are a lot of work. Feedings, clean-ups, vet visits. But when we see them grow strong, healthy, and ready to go home, every bit of effort is worth it.

When you follow, share, volunteer, donate, or advocate for us, you make rescues like this possible. You give vulnerable kittens the safety, care, and future they deserve. We couldn't be more grateful that these guys are safe now, and one day soon, they'll go home. 🏡💖

Monday Challenge: Getting Anything Done???

It’s hard enough to focus on a Monday… and then there’s this guy.

Aslan just got back from the vet and decided my desk is the perfect place to stretch out and keep me (Pam) company. He’s purring, he’s cozy, and he’s way more tempting than everything that is on my to-do list right now.

🐾 Lil Dumplin’s Sweet Send-Off 🐾

Lil Dumplin, our adorable black and white beauty, faced heartbreak when she was left behind after her owners were evicted. Even after such a sad beginning, her sweet spirit never faded.

Now Lil Dumplin' is off to a new home where she won't be left behind again—only loved and spoiled like the treasure she is. ❤️

🎓 From Campus to Couch – Billiken’s Big Me-Out! 🎓

Billiken, our one-of-a-kind snowshoe, has officially graduated from life on the streets to life in a loving home!

She was found all alone in a parking lot on the St. Louis University campus, unsure of what would come next. With some care, safety, and plenty of love at our shelter, Billiken’s true personality shined through—and it didn’t take long for the perfect family to see just how special she is.

Now, she’s traded parking lots for soft beds and warm laps. Congratulations, Billiken, on finding your forever! Thank you to everyone who helped make this happy ending possible.

Beautiful Galena came to us after being abandoned on the street with her kittens. Despite her rough start, she remained a loving, resilient mama who deserved the world.

Now, Galena has found the family she’s been waiting for—a home where she’ll be loved and cherished, just as she has always deserved. ❤️

🚨 NEW KIT-IN ALERT! 🚨

Say hello to our newest arrivals, Muffin Man and Chef Boyardee!

Muffin Man is young orange tabby kitten who showed up at our doorstep thanks to a kindhearted person who rescued him from being abandoned. With his round little belly (likely from worms), he’s got some healing to do, but we’ll make sure he gets every bit of care he needs to feel his best.

Chef Boyardee—AKA “The Chef”—has been braving life outdoors, but his sweet, affectionate nature tells us he’s dreaming of a safe, cozy home and a best friend to call his own.

Both boys are now safe with us and will receive full intake care, including vet exams, flea treatments, deworming, and whatever else they need to start fresh. Soon, they’ll be ready to meet the families who will love them forever.

Join us in giving Muffin Man and The Chef a big, warm welcome as they begin their new chapter! ❤️
