✨ Gratitude Post ✨

Back in April 2013, with my son Cameron graduating in 2015 and heading off to play Division 1 football at Mizzou, I knew I needed to make a big change. I sat down, wrote a business plan, secured the funds, and by October 1st my grooming salon was open. It was one of the scariest but best decisions I’ve ever made. 🐾

Since then, this little dream has grown into 12 wonderful years of doing what I love most. At times I’ve had up to five groomers working with me, which allowed me the gift of traveling for four years to watch every one of Cameron’s college games. None of that would have been possible without my amazing, loyal clients. Many of you have been with me since my Groomingdales days, and because of your loyalty, I haven’t been able to take new clients in years. That kind of support has made my life so much easier, and it’s something I will never take for granted. You are the heart of this business.

Since COVID, things shifted, and now I’m back to where I started—just me, grooming and bathing every dog that walks through my door. And I love it. I love your pups like my own, and it is an honor to care for them. The hardest part, though, is losing them. As the years go by, it happens more often, and it never gets easier. That’s where I have to thank my husband most of all. He has moved this business with me twice, held me when I’ve cried over my clients’ dogs passing, and continues to support me with so much patience, love, and understanding. He never lets me feel like I’m carrying that grief alone, and I am beyond grateful for him. 💕

Now, life brings me into a brand new chapter. My football player son is all grown up—29 years old—and he and his partner are expecting their first baby this November. I cannot wait to become a grandma, and my heart is so full.

To my clients, past and present: thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your dogs, for sticking with me through the years, and for being the reason I get to live out a life I love so deeply. Here’s to the next chapter. 🐶💜

🚨 We Have a Dog Crisis 🚨

I’m sharing this post from Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment of St. Louis - CARE STL that is completely overwhelmed. The kennels are packed. The barking is constant. It’s loud, it’s scary, and it’s heartbreaking. These dogs — so many of them Pitbulls — are sitting in overcrowded spaces, waiting and hoping for someone to give them a second chance. 💔

This isn’t just “sad,” it’s a crisis.
Too many are still breeding dogs. Too many aren’t spaying and neutering their pets. And the truth is: it’s not sustainable. It’s not healthy. It’s not humane.

We must do better.
Please spay and neuter your pets.
Please don’t support backyard breeders.
Please share this post.
Maybe… just maybe… someone will see one of these faces and open their heart and home. 🐾

I groom rescue dogs all the time. I love them deeply. And we want fewer of them waiting behind bars.

Also — if adoption isn’t an option for you right now, fostering is an incredible way to help!
There are so many opportunities to foster, and most rescues cover everything — vet care, food, supplies. All you need to do is open your heart and your home. It truly makes a difference. ❤️

UPDATE————-
4 Paws 4 Rescue picked up the Yorkies today. THEY WERE NOT MICROCHIPPED. The rescue will get them vaccinated and fixed . They will then put them up for adootion thru the rescue. If you are interested please fill out an application. They are sooooo sweet i cannot wait to see them thriving in a loving home 💛💛

Found 2 yorkies tied up to a bench in Tower Grove Park this morning. Someone waited an hour to see if anyone was coming for them and no one has showed up. They left their kennel and a bag of food and belongings. Looking for a rescue or someone to take them and make sure there isn’t a family looking for them. MUST SHOW PROOF OF OWNERSHIP.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THEM AND WOULD LIKE TO FOSTER UNTIL ITS DETERMINED IF THEY HAVE A HOME PLEASE REACH OUT.er e
