🐾 Meet Winnebago – The Potato Princess with Sass to Spare
Winnebago is a little cutie through and through! This adorable pup has earned the nickname “potato” thanks to her squishy, cuddly self. She’s smart as can be—already sitting on command—and she’s great in her crate overnight. Winnebago’s favorite trick? Letting out her signature sassy grunts to let you know exactly how she feels. She’s playful, snuggly, and will make you laugh every single day. And since her mama is on the smaller side, Winnie will probably stay petite too! I can't say enough about how wonderful she is, I know she'll make the perfect little companion ❤️

With a face that could melt anyone’s heart, Fox Lake is our gentle little lamb. He’s happiest when he’s in your arms or stretched out for a good belly rub. Like his siblings, he’s already learning his manners—sitting on command and sleeping like a champ in his crate. Playtime is his jam, but when it’s time to wind down, Fox Lake turns into the cuddliest snuggle buddy. His mama is a smaller dog, so he’ll probably stay on the smaller side too—perfect for all the couch cuddles. I can't say enough about how wonderful he is, I know he'll make the perfect little companion ❤️

With her sweet spirit and fearless curiosity, she’s bound to be the heart of any home lucky enough to call her family. Just like her mama, she’ll probably stay on the smaller side when fully grown. I can't say enough about how wonderful she is, I know she'll make the perfect little companion ❤️

Make sure you have the best insurance coverage - call our friend Tina Miceli at LP Miceli! Tina is our PAR sponsor for our upcoming sold out golf tournament on Tuesday. Tina is one-of-a-kind. Not only does she support our events, but she comes to get a dog every day. She gets them out of their apartment in the noisy shelter and takes them to work for a few hours. Every time we see her we say, "Who is the lucky pup today!" They always come back tired and happy.

Another wonderful, happy adoption.
Crystal is such a special girl. She's the gruntiest, snortiest, silliest, cuddliest lil lady in the world. She loved us so deeply, and we loved her so, so much. But this girl was getting so stressed in the shelter, even surrounded by people who loved her. She desperately needed a hero, so we put out a plea for help. Is there someone who could adopt our Crystal and be her person?
Yes.
This wonderful man saw the post and drove across several states to come meet her. He loved her instantly and she was dancing around the play yard, rolling on her back - anything she could to show off and get his attention. She loved him instantly, too. She couldn't jump in his truck fast enough! That night he sent us a text that said, "She was a great choice." 🥹❤
Crystal, we wish you and your new dad the best life ever.

Are you looking for the most loyal dog out there? Meet this special girl! While unsure at first, Elektra becomes very devoted to her people. At her foster home she is very protective of her foster parents as well as the house she lives in so it would be ideal if her forever home was a low traffic one - no intruders allowed on her watch! For the same reason she would be best suited to be your only dog. With the people she loves she becomes very cuddly - throughout the day she will pack herself onto your lap or demand pets and kisses. She seldom barks and is completely nondestructive and housebroken. Very well behaved when left alone, she just naps or chews on her toys until her people come back. Great at car rides, Elektra settles down at the backseat and naps even through very long drives! She's got the brains as well - she knows how to sit and lay down and loves solving doggy puzzles for treats. Her ideal day could be either packed with hikes and adventures or cuddling on the couch in front of the TV. She matches her energy levels to your own.
If you were on the lookout for a loyal house protector who will cuddle you to sleep every night, this is your girl!
Elektra is a 61 lb, 3.5 year old female. Markets is covering her adoption fee! And all other dogs and cats over 6 months old this month!

💙Blue Buffalo is our lifeline. They feed all of the dogs and cats in our shelter and in foster homes. That is more than 600 animals!! We could not survive without them. They come to all of our fundraisers, elevating the event and making it so much fun with huge smiles, big hugs, and a lot of laughs. We love you, Leah & BLUE!

Figaro is a sweet 8 year old kitty that has diabetes.
He is only on one oral medication in the morning so no insulin injections! He is very friendly, affectionate, and loves treats. And he's so handsome. Being in the shelter is stressful for him and makes diabetes difficult to manage. He would love a home where he can curl up, rest, and feel safe and happy!
Is anyone able to take home Figaro? He is available for foster and adoption. Markets will cover his adoption fee!

What a night we had!

We attended the STL Headliner Awards, and we are glowing.
We are so honored to serve this community every single day. Your support, your votes, and your love are what keep us going. We have the greatest TEAM on the planet. We get up every day and walk through these doors knowing we're going to see the worst. We get dirty, we get mad, sometimes we even cry. But we get up every day and do it all over again because we love these animals so much, and we believe that EVERY SINGLE ONE of them is worthy of love, no matter what they've been through or what injuries they have.
