Let's 🌟SPOTLIGHT🌟 longtimer Fury!

Meet Fury, a 6-year-old brindle boy whose name might sound fierce, but whose
spirit couldn’t be softer. This sweet boy is more than just handsome — he’s a true hero. As a canine blood donor, he's helped save the lives of other dogs in need. He’s given so much love and life to others — now it’s his turn to find a forever
family who will give that love right back.
Fury is the total package: calm, loyal, and wonderfully easy to be around. He walks

Parvo SURVIVORS!!
These three beautiful black & white heeler/border collie blends SURVIVED Parvo. They came to us originally on 10/15 and were very sick. They fought for their lives as we nursed them back to health. They are officially cleared!! These healthy babies are ready to get the heck out of here and go to homes - foster or forever. Because our shelter is overfull, they are living in crates. But after being in quarantine for weeks and weeks, they are more than ready or a home where they can PLAY, stretch their legs, and learn about what life is supposed to be like!
These 4 month olds are the "Detective" litter. There are 5 total (2 are in foster homes) and these three are living in our shelter:

A sweet moment we wanted to share.
Spartacus' forever mom took him to visit the woman who first found him. The hero who took out her trash early one morning and found him tied to a dumpster. She wasn't afraid of him - she immediately untied him and took him home. Crying, she started making phone calls to get him help. When Donna and the rescue team arrived, her kindness, compassion and concern was apparent. And now she gets to see him healthy, happy, adopted.

Who is that beautiful fluffy boy you are walking with the bright, shiny coat?
"It's Papa Alaska!"
Ahhhh!!! He came to us bright pink, bleeding with cracked, painful skin. He's the same as he was when we first met him - happiest when he's touching someone, in their lap, or giving kisses. He's so lovely, affectionate...he's a day-maker. His positive outlook is infectious and we adore him!
Papa Alaska was lucky enough to heal in a foster home, but now he's ready for his forever home! Hi Pointe Drive In will cover his adoption fee. He loves all people and is looking for a home that is ready to CUDDLE and SNUGGLE all winter long! Papa is one year old, 63 pounds, male.

Bonded girlies, Prize and Award, got to go on an adventure today with two of our amazing volunteers John & Maria! They took them for a car ride and a walk to smell the leaves in the park. Every time they go somewhere, they get better on their leashes and more confident.

We have heartwarming news. Renlo is now in a foster home. THIS is what good, solid, relaxing rest looks like! He's going to heal so much faster - both physically and emotionally - in someone's arms than he would in our chaotic and noisy shelter.

We often ask for "medical foster homes." That term might be misleading, because you don't need any medical background at all. THIS is a medical foster home. It's a comfy, cozy home just like this. Our clinic is full of barking dogs so a lot of our patients recovering from surgeries don't get the rest they need. They get scared, stir crazy, etc. If you take home a recovering patient, all you need to do is listen to doctor's orders (feeding instructions/physical limitations), and bring them in for check-ups. We provide everything else they need.
You can foster them while they heal, and then take another home. Keep the cycle going. Or you can adopt them yourself. There are all sorts of options, but we just saw this photo and it spoke volumes. It defined what we ask for perfectly. Renlo is in such good hands, and his foster parents said they will send us lots of updates so we can all be a part of his healing journey.

We have a lot of dogs and cats available for adoption. But we also have this baby boy, here.
He's an actual baby. He came to us with a very small wound on his paw. We see so many brave dogs and cats with the most horrific wounds. But this boy is really milking it, he just can't believe he has an injury. He won't walk, we have to take him out in a stroller. He climbs in our laps and rolls over for belly rubs. He won't go back in his spot, he just lays there, begging for nonstop petting. He is SUCH a baby. He's a 77 pound lap dog and looking for a mommy or daddy who will baby him. He wants to be your child, your pride and joy. He wants baby talk, snacks, and lots of couch time. He likes being talked to like a person, he wants to be your equal. If you leave for the day, you better tell him where you're going and what time you'll be back. He'll hold you to it!
Who can come get Tonks? He's awesome.
If we could have a "lobby dog" to greet everyone, he'd be the one!

Sometimes you can tell how sweet a dog is just by the shape of their eyes.
This is Wiindsor. This 4 year old boy is as sweet as he looks. He's gentle, kind, and so cute & speckled :)
He came to us with part of his foot...gone. It looks like it was partially blown off. We wish we could ask him what happened. Lucky for him, he still has two toes and his paw pad, so we believe he will be able to use it. We've been cleaning it and changing his bandages every day, and things are looking positive for him!
Now that it's cleaned up and healing, he's ready to go to a foster home! He's 59 pounds and dog friendly!

Meet Zamora, a stunning three-year-old German Shepherd with a vibrant personality. She’s incredibly smart and knows most of the basic commands. She loves learning. She walks well on a leash, is crate-trained and housebroken, and loves to play with her stuffed animals - whether with you or by herself!
Zamora hasn’t met a dog or person she hasn’t liked. She’d be thrilled to have a home with kids (although maybe older kids since she’s quite energetic), another dog to play with, or an active person. Zamora is heartworm +, but we will take care of her entire treatment and we'll be with you every step of the way! She's so lucky to be with people who love her ❤

We are out and about every weekend and some weekdays doing adoption events! Our foster parents sign up to take their foster dogs or cats to events in hopes of meeting the perfect forever families. Then when they are adopted, they oftentimes come get another foster!

With cold months coming, adoption events will significantly slow down, but the need is still great! We'd love to schedule adoption events:
- At apartment buildings, condos (no breed/weight restrictions, or we can do a cats-only adoption event
We have had great success with these in the past! YOU promote it to your residents and neighborhood, and we bring the pups/kitties. Because we have so much going on at all times, we do ask that you promote the event yourself.
