Ok everyone, this is it. We've tried squeezing dogs in every nook and cranny of this building, and it's official. We are sadly on another RESCUE FREEZE.

Believe it or not, we currently have more dogs in crates than we ever have. Just when we think we're making progress, there will be a big rescue, a highway call we cannot say no to, or several returns in a row. We are always prepared, but when it hits us like a landslide all at once, we have no choice but to shut down rescue operations.

SO!!!!
In our next post we will provide sign-ups for THIS SATURDAY'S: - EMERGENCY ADOPTION POP-UP! Starting at 10:30am
and
- EMERGENCY FOSTER CLASS at 12:30pm

STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION, coming next!

Hi Everyone!
We have an urgent need in our clinic. Can you help us raise $600 so we can place the order? Here's a message from our Lead Veterinary Technician, Ashley:

"This is a sensor or probe for our surgery monitoring equipment. The probes that plug into the monitor itself wear out over time and need to be replaced occasionally. This equipment is used to help monitor patients' vital signs while under anesthesia; we use it for every surgery patient every single day! It measures the patient's heartrate and SpO2, which indicates how well the animal is circulating oxygen. This is super important for thorough anesthesia monitoring, to keep every patient safe and healthy!! If everyone chips in a couple of bucks, I bet we can order this tomorrow!"

August has been medically cleared after a FHO surgery. He is ready to be adopted! Wow, you are going to love him! He looks so much like .this.is.tatum, doesn't he?

He is a big love bug - 50 pounds - but doesn't know his own size or strength. He is a 2 year-old male, and is absolutely overflowing with love. He gives lots of kisses, and wants to love on everyone he meets.

He is crate trained—he's had no accidents, no stress in his foster home! With patience and routine, this would likely be the case in his forever home too.

He knows basic commands and will shake paws. He is comfortable on a leash and great on walks. He could use some training to help with pulling, again - he doesn't know how big he is!

Energetic and playful outdoors, he would be a great hiking/adventure buddy. He loves to chew on Nyla bones and stuffies, and my favorite thing about him is how extremely loyal he is. His favorite place is right by your side, whether you’re watching TV or tackling chores.

He is eager to meet other dogs, but we don't have dogs, so it would be best to do a Meet & Greet at Stray Rescue.

He is best suited for a family with school-aged kids or older, as his energy and enthusiasm might be a bit much for toddlers, but wow is he going to love and adore them. 💖🥹

Let us know if August is the one for your family!!

Tonks is sticking his tongue out because he's darn mad! No one has chosen him yet, and he's been with us since 10/31! He's over it!

He's been resting in our clinic, but now we really need his space for dogs who come in with injuries.

His ideal home would be with someone who will loves him as much as he'll love them. Whether that’s one person or a whole family, he loves people and giving affection. He doesn't need a lot of exercise and can even be stubborn on leash when he decides he's done walking outside, so if you're a home body looking for a couch partner....this is the one.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect laid back dog to be your one and only, look no further than Tonks! He needs to be your only pet and he's going to make this winter a whole lot warmer and snugglier. He can’t wait to meet you!
Tonks is 2 years old, 77 pounds.

Dear Planet Earth! 🌎
Rescues and shelters have puppies! Tons of them! Please choose adoption when you add to your family. The shelters and rescues of our world are devastated. They're full. They're exhausted. Their hearts are broken for all the animals who sit and wait for someone to come get them.

In fact, we have puppies coming in later today, and we are looking for foster homes! Strayrescue.org/foster

There he is.
Creme Brulee has left for a foster home! He's getting a ton of rest, but he's also feeling up to a little exploring! We are so thrilled with the way he's recovering after coming to us knocking on death's door. He was found laying by a dumpster, emaciated, and so cold his temperature wouldn't read. He had frostbite and an infection, but he fought his way back to the world of the living. And now there is nothing stopping this warrior boy!
