Success story for the week - Meet Sky

With the support of our donors, STARelief recently assisted a family in need by providing financial support for their beloved dog, Sky's critical veterinary care.

Sky, a cherished member of the family, had been diagnosed with a serious illness requiring immediate and costly treatment. Our organization stepped in to help alleviate the financial burden and ensure Sky received the necessary care. This act of kindness helped save Sky's life and provided immeasurable comfort and relief to the family during a challenging time.

Sweet senior Joan Rivers seeks a loving home!

There are benefits to adopting a senior dog like Joan Rivers. Senior dogs are calmer and wiser. They know what they like and seek out people to cuddle and places to nap. They make great companions.

So is the case with our super sweet senior Joan Rivers. We believe Joan is around thirteen years young, she is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Joan just had a vet visit and came back with a clean bill of health.

This sweet pup was found on Victory Street here in Stamford and he is now being treated at our local animal hospital.

We need our communities help!!

Within the last two weeks we have had a mama dog and now a puppy come into our shelter in really bad condition and they were both found on Victory St. If you have any information about the mama or this puppy please contact our office at 203-977-4437.

A success story for the week - Lala

After spending all of their savings on Lala's veterinary care, the family reached out to STARelief for additional funding.

Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to provide Lalla with a veterinary care grant.

A success story for the week - Swagg

After losing her job, Swagg's owner found out that he needed Cystotomy surgery so she reached out to friends, family, and STARelief for help in covering the cost.

Thanks to our donors, we were able to assist Swagg in staying happy, healthy, and home.

Here is a note from Swagg's family: "I want to take a moment to thank you for your financial assistance that you gave for Swagg's bladder stone removal surgery. You were a true blessing and I am extremely thankful for your help.

It has now been almost 2 weeks post op and Swagg is scheduled to get his stitches out tomorrow. Since healing he has still remained a very energetic and happy dog, it is hard to tell that he has even had surgery! He does not have the same pain and symptoms he had before the surgery which is great. He has been using the bathroom consistently without issue and his quality of life has improved.

Again I want to thank you-your assistance meant more than you know."
