Project Precious Rescue is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we follow our own rules and beliefs in the best interest of the animals. We keep it as simple as that. We are a small scale rescue with ever changing adoptables, so please check in frequently to find your new best friend!

🐾 **Sneak Peek! Welcome to PPR, Raven!** 🖤

This adorable 3-month-old mixed breed puppy came to us from our local animal control and is settling in beautifully at her foster home. So far, Raven is proving to be a total sweetheart — great with dogs, gentle with cats, and already melting hearts!

We’re still getting to know her personality, but one thing’s for sure… this little girl is going to make her future family very happy 💕

Two weeks from today!!

We are excited to join our friends Bridgeport, Connecticut Animal Control at for their first ever Paws In The Park Howl-O-Ween Bash!

Location: downtown Bridgeport in Post Office Square

Time: 12p-4p

Date: Saturday, October 18th for maximum howl-o-ween fun!

Paws in the Park aims to bring together hundreds of our neighbors, their pets, and future pet owners right in downtown Bridgeport for an afternoon of fun!

This pet-friendly fall festival features:
-A Pet Costume Contest and Parade- wear costumes to win prizes!
-A Photo Booth
-Vendor Fair- shop for you and your pet!
-Food Trucks
-Beer Garden (21+) and Pup Cup Bar (dogs of all ages!)
-Local non-profit animal rescue groups
-Demonstrations
-Music
-Face Painting..and so much more!

PPR will have adoptable dogs & merch available! Come join us - it'll be a an awesome day to support a great cause!

The event is FREE to attend, with something for the whole family- including your dog!

**Adopt Our Gentle Giant, Hank!**

Hank is a 7-month-old Labradoodle who is truly one of a kind. At already 70 lbs (and still growing!), he’s a big boy with an even bigger heart. Despite his size, he is incredibly gentle and sweet. Hank has been exposed to all kinds of new situations and takes everything in stride with his easy-going nature.

This big puppy loves to play with other dogs and tends to be more on the submissive side. He’s wonderful with kids, adores snuggles, and will happily follow you around just to be close. Hank is also a water-lover and can often be found enjoying a splash in the pool!

He’s not just handsome—he’s smart, too! Hank already knows commands like sit, down, stay, leave it, and load up. He’s good on a leash, crate trained, and fully housebroken. He also loves couch cuddles, and has an all-around easygoing temperament.

Hank will thrive in a family who will keep him busy with exercise, play, and plenty of adventures. The only thing he asks is a home without cats, as he finds them a bit too fun to chase.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, and loyal companion, Hank may just be your perfect match!

Adopted from another rescue, shelter, or breeder? This reminder is for you too!

👉 A microchip without registration is useless. If your pet goes missing and their chip isn’t registered to you, there’s no way to contact you.

🐾 Adopt Teeter! 🐾

Teeter is a 1-year-old, 12 lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix who’s back with us after being returned through no fault of her own—she just has more energy than her previous home could keep up with. This sweet little girl is crate trained, great on car rides, loves every person she meets (kids and adults alike), and is always ready for her next adventure!

Teeter really enjoys zooming around the backyard. She’s very active, loves attention, and wants to be wherever her people are! She currently walks a couple miles a day, so daily exercise will help her thrive.

Teeter absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with a yard and a canine buddy to match her energy. Preference will be given to families with another young, active dog for her to play with.

If you’re looking for a little sidekick with a big personality and endless love to give, Teeter might just be your girl! 💕

**Happy Tail – Milo** 🐾💙

Milo's leg injury, thankfully, has healed on its own as best as it could, and he’s been thriving in foster care. When it came time to start looking for his forever home… his foster mom realized she had already found it. 💕 She couldn’t let this sweet boy go and decided to officially adopt him!

Thank you, Nicole, for nursing Milo back to health and giving him the greatest gift of all—a forever family. 🏡✨

✨ **Memphis Update** ✨

Sweet Memphis had her upper and lower endoscopy last week, and the results came back showing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). While she’s been gaining weight (yay!), she’s still experiencing diarrhea, so her mom and medical team agreed it’s time to start her on some new medications.

Despite everything, Memphis hasn’t let it slow her down—she even attended Yappy Hour and was the star of the show!

🌟 We’re so relieved to have a diagnosis, and with her amazing mom’s care and the support of her doctors, we know she’ll continue to improve day by day. 💕

🌟 Pepper’s Babies Are 8 Weeks Old! 🌟

They’re officially ready to find their forever homes — and trust us, they’re as sweet as can be (though we may be a little biased 😉).

Meet the crew:

✨ **Vanilla Bean** – Short-haired female. The tiniest of the bunch, but don’t let her size fool you — she can hold her own! A little on the shy side, but very sweet. Loves toys and batting things across the floor.

✨ **Mace** – Short-haired female. A bit reserved at first, but warms up quickly when you let her come to you. Always polished — she loves to groom herself. Big fan of toys!

✨ **Nutmeg** – Short-haired female. Classic tortie personality — feisty, playful, and full of fun. Outgoing and super friendly!

✨ **Sage** – Long-haired male. Social and playful, but also appreciates a cozy nap. Loves having a friend to wrestle and cuddle with.

✨ **Clove** – Long-haired male. The biggest lovebug! Comes right up for pets and starts purring instantly. Obsessed with chasing crinkle balls.

✨ **Basil** – Long-haired male. The biggest of the litter and sure to be one handsome boy. Especially loves mouse toys.
