Project Precious Rescue is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we follow our own rules and beliefs in the best interest of the animals. We keep it as simple as that. We are a small scale rescue with ever changing adoptables, so please check in frequently to find your new best friend!

Roxy & Remy are ready to find their forever home! 💕

These 3-month-old adorable, bonded kitten sisters are truly two of the best little girls you’ll ever meet!

Roxy and Remy are incredibly sweet and affectionate, with purr motors that never seem to turn off. They absolutely love to snuggle and are deeply attached to one another—if they end up in separate rooms, they’ll meow until they’re reunited. Their bond is undeniable and heart-melting.

Roxy is the more outgoing of the two, while Remy is a bit shyer at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’s just as cuddly and loving. Together, they make the perfect pair.

These girls are well-socialized and do great with dogs and other cats. They are fully litter box trained and ready to settle into a forever home—together, of course.

Roxy and Remy must be adopted as a pair and would make an amazing addition to just about any family looking for double the love and sweetness.

Meet Candy🍬 — a tiny girl with a gentle heart just waiting to bloom!

Candy is a 7-month-old, 6-lb long-haired Chihuahua who is as delicate and sweet as her name. She’s very shy at first and needs time, patience, and understanding to feel safe in a new environment. Once she warms up, though, Candy shows her true self: affectionate, playful, and quietly loving.

Candy would thrive in a calm, quiet home with teens/adults only, and she’s looking for an experienced, patient family who will let her move at her own pace. She would love to have another small, friendly dog in the home to help boost her confidence and give her a buddy to play with. She also does fine with feline friends.

She’s still working on potty training, so her future family should be prepared to continue guiding her with consistency and positive reinforcement. She sleeps in her puppy playpen at night without issue.

If you’re the kind of person who believes the most special bonds are built with time and trust, Candy may be the perfect little companion for you. With patience and love, she will reward you with a truly meaningful connection! 💕

✨ Sneak Peek: Meet Star ✨

Star is a 6-month-old Chiweenie puppy who came to us from the same hoarding situation as Tinsel, and is understandably very shy—but underneath it all, she is incredibly sweet. As she settles into her foster home, we’re learning more about her personality every day. With time, patience, and love, she’ll soon be ready to find her forever family. Star will need a calm, and understanding home to help her continue to blossom.

🎄Merry Christmas Eve from Rocky!🎄

We’re so happy to share that Rocky is doing really well in his foster home and is absolutely loving the snow! ❄️🐾 His skin continues to heal beautifully, his hair is growing back, and he just keeps getting stronger every day.

Rocky has a recheck with the dermatologist scheduled for the first week of January, and we’re feeling very hopeful about his continued progress.

Rocky hopes everyone has a wonderful holiday filled with love, warmth, and a little extra joy — just like he’s feeling right now! ❤️🎄

🎄 Meet Tinsel! 🎄

Tinsel is a 6-month-old 10lb male Chihuahua mix who came to us along with three other dogs from a hoarding situation. Despite his rough start, Tinsel is a total sweetheart with a soft, loving soul. He absolutely loves to cuddle and be held and is happiest when he’s close to his people.

Tinsel is a quiet, gentle puppy—not wild or overly rambunctious. He rarely barks, except to let you know he misses you if you’re out of his sight. He’s a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and soon becomes everyone’s friend. He does wonderfully with kids and truly loves everyone he meets.

Because of his background, Tinsel needs to have another dog in the home and thrives with canine companionship. We’re also looking for a home where someone is home more often than not (prefer he goes to a single family home, not an apartment), as he finds comfort in routine and company. He’s currently working on potty training and is making steady progress.

Tinsel would do best in a patient, loving home that will continue to help him build confidence and feel safe. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, and easygoing pup to add to your family (and already have a friendly dog at home), Tinsel might be your perfect match. 🐾💙

Meet Molly! 💕

This teeny little lady is just 7 lbs of sweetness and is estimated to be around 2 years old. Molly is a Schnauzer/Poodle mix who found herself at a local shelter, but we’re so happy our friends there trusted us with the next part of her journey!

So far, Molly is doing great settling into her foster home —super sweet, gentle, and adjusting beautifully. We’re spending some time getting to know her personality even more, and once we do, she’ll be ready to start looking for her forever family.

🚗💗 Freedom Ride!💗🚗

Today we welcomed Pinky to Project Precious Rescue, and we couldn’t be happier she’s safe. This sweet 6-year-old, 38-lb girl found herself at the shelter and facing euthanasia simply because she was involved in a spat with a housemate — one she was not the aggressor in. 💔

As you can imagine, the shelter environment made her incredibly anxious, and her plea broke our hearts. Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters saw Pinky’s post… and the rest is history. ✨

We truly believe Pinky is misunderstood, and we could not stand by and let her lose her life because of it. She was picked up from the shelter today and is now on her freedom ride to begin decompressing and settling into foster care, where we’ll take the time to learn who she really is.

This is not the update we ever thought we would have to share, and it has taken us time to find the words.

With broken hearts, we share that Gordo passed away the day after his surgery due to complications with his airway. These surgeries are never taken lightly—they carry real risk—but they are pursued because of the profound improvement in comfort and quality of life they can bring when successful. While complications are known to happen, this outcome was completely unexpected.

We are devastated and still trying to come to terms with this loss. We commit to these dogs with the promise that we will do everything in our power to give them a better life, and when things like this happen, it cuts deeply. We wish more than anything that this story had ended differently.

Gordo was so loved, and he mattered. Fly free, sweet boy. You will always be in our hearts. 🕊️

**Adopt Pepper!** 🖤

This gorgeous 1-year-old girl is as sweet as they come. Pepper loves nothing more than attention (and food—especially canned food!). She’s been an amazing mom to her babies, and is now ready to be spoiled herself!

Pepper enjoys exploring the house and doesn’t seem bothered by the four resident cats in her foster home. She is generally friendly and curious—so we think she’d do just fine with other feline friends given a proper introduction.

She’s affectionate, playful, and loves getting pets. We’re not sure how Pepper feels about dogs yet, but with her sweet and adaptable nature, she might adjust with time and patience, especially if the dog is used to having a kitty housemate, and will let her do her own thing.

If you’re looking for a loving companion, Pepper is your girl! 💕

🌟 **Adopt Nutmeg!** 🌟

This 5-month-old beauty is ready to find her forever family! All of her siblings have been adopted, and we have NO idea why she's still waiting!

Nutmeg is super sweet, endlessly affectionate, and purrs up a storm the second you touch her. She has the cutest tiny meow and the most adorable little prance when she trots over to you. She was always the bravest of her litter, and she loves toys, playtime, and making friends.

She gets along great with other cats and is wonderfully respectful when they set boundaries. She would also likely do just fine with dogs with proper introduction. Nutmeg is not a spicy tortie—she’s all heart and gentle energy. Her foster mom says she's a truly special girl!

✨ **Happy Tail Pupdate!** ✨

Remember Peter, one of our brave puppy mill survivors?! It was his 2-year adoptaversary recently, and we are SO excited to share that he continues to thrive with his amazing forever family!

They celebrated his special day the best way possible — by spoiling him with yummy cookies and giving him all the love he deserves. 🩵🍪

Updates like these remind us exactly why we do what we do. Seeing our survivors living safe, happy, joy-filled lives is the greatest reward!

Cheers to Peter and his wonderful family — here’s to many more years of cookies, cuddles, and celebrating how far he’s come! 🐾💙
