Project Precious Rescue is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we follow our own rules and beliefs in the best interest of the animals. Meet Molly! 💕

This teeny little lady is just 7 lbs of sweetness and is estimated to be around 2 years old. Molly is a Schnauzer/Poodle mix who found herself at a local shelter, but we’re so happy our friends there trusted us with the next part of her journey!

So far, Molly is doing great settling into her foster home —super sweet, gentle, and adjusting beautifully. We’re spending some time getting to know her personality even more, and once we do, she’ll be ready to start looking for her forever family.

🚗💗 Freedom Ride!💗🚗

Today we welcomed Pinky to Project Precious Rescue, and we couldn’t be happier she’s safe. This sweet 6-year-old, 38-lb girl found herself at the shelter and facing euthanasia simply because she was involved in a spat with a housemate — one she was not the aggressor in. 💔

As you can imagine, the shelter environment made her incredibly anxious, and her plea broke our hearts. Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters saw Pinky’s post… and the rest is history. ✨

We truly believe Pinky is misunderstood, and we could not stand by and let her lose her life because of it. She was picked up from the shelter today and is now on her freedom ride to begin decompressing and settling into foster care, where we’ll take the time to learn who she really is.

This is not the update we ever thought we would have to share, and it has taken us time to find the words.

With broken hearts, we share that Gordo passed away the day after his surgery due to complications with his airway. These surgeries are never taken lightly—they carry real risk—but they are pursued because of the profound improvement in comfort and quality of life they can bring when successful. While complications are known to happen, this outcome was completely unexpected.

We are devastated and still trying to come to terms with this loss. We commit to these dogs with the promise that we will do everything in our power to give them a better life, and when things like this happen, it cuts deeply. We wish more than anything that this story had ended differently.

Gordo was so loved, and he mattered. Fly free, sweet boy. You will always be in our hearts. 🕊️

**Adopt Pepper!** 🖤

This gorgeous 1-year-old girl is as sweet as they come. Pepper loves nothing more than attention (and food—especially canned food!). She’s been an amazing mom to her babies, and is now ready to be spoiled herself!

Pepper enjoys exploring the house and doesn’t seem bothered by the four resident cats in her foster home. She is generally friendly and curious—so we think she’d do just fine with other feline friends given a proper introduction.

She’s affectionate, playful, and loves getting pets. We’re not sure how Pepper feels about dogs yet, but with her sweet and adaptable nature, she might adjust with time and patience, especially if the dog is used to having a kitty housemate, and will let her do her own thing.

🌟 **Adopt Nutmeg!** 🌟

This 5-month-old beauty is ready to find her forever family! All of her siblings have been adopted, and we have NO idea why she's still waiting!

Nutmeg is super sweet, endlessly affectionate, and purrs up a storm the second you touch her. She has the cutest tiny meow and the most adorable little prance when she trots over to you. She was always the bravest of her litter, and she loves toys, playtime, and making friends.

She gets along great with other cats and is wonderfully respectful when they set boundaries. She would also likely do just fine with dogs with proper introduction. Nutmeg is not a spicy tortie—she’s all heart and gentle energy. Her foster mom says she's a truly special girl!

Remember Peter, one of our brave puppy mill survivors?! It was his 2-year adoptaversary recently, and we are SO excited to share that he continues to thrive with his amazing forever family!

They celebrated his special day the best way possible — by spoiling him with yummy cookies and giving him all the love he deserves. 🩵🍪

Updates like these remind us exactly why we do what we do. Seeing our survivors living safe, happy, joy-filled lives is the greatest reward!

Today our sweet little dude is undergoing brachycephalic airway surgery to help him breathe easier, along with a urethral prolapse repair, and he’ll also be neutered. ❤️‍🩹

These procedures will vastly improve his comfort, health, and overall quality of life — and bring him one big step closer to finding his perfect forever home.

🎄 **FOSTER PLEA: Chihuahua mix Puppies Garland & Tinsel!** 🎁
We are committed to helping these two adorable babies who came from a hoarding situation — but we need foster homes home for them starting Saturday 12/13.

Garland (female) and Tinsel (male) are gentle, submissive, and incredibly sweet. They’re still learning what it means to be puppies — how to play, how to trust, how to meet new people — and they’re already making great progress.

They’re working on perfecting their potty training and leash walking, and with patient, loving foster homes, they’ll continue to blossom. These little ones truly just need families to show them safety, kindness, and routine.

Please help us find somewhere for Garland and Tinsel to land in time for the holidays. They deserve to experience warmth, comfort, and love after everything they’ve been through!

✨ Happy Tail for Vera! ✨

When Vera first came to us, she was a super shy girl who wasn’t quite sure of the world around her. But once she settled into her foster home and slowly came out of her shell, something wonderful happened — her foster family fell head over heels for her. It didn’t take long for them to realize she was already right where she belonged.

We’re thrilled to share that Vera has been officially adopted and is now known as Miffy! She’s loved, spoiled, and truly living her best life.

A huge thank you to Meghan and her family for opening your hearts and home to foster, and for giving Miffy her forever family. This sweet girl couldn’t be luckier. ❤️🐾

**Rocky Update!** 🐾❤️

Rocky has been in a temporary foster home with our trainer since the weekend, and he’s doing so well! Our trainer says he’s a really good boy — smart, eager to learn, and thriving with structure. He’s doing great with the other dog in the home and is very food motivated, which is helping him pick up training quickly.

Rocky will definitely benefit from a foster who can continue a consistent routine and positive reinforcement. He does well on leash, seems to be completely potty trained and is comfortable in his crate, especially when he gets enough exercise during the day

His skin is looking much better too! We are still waiting on finalized test results but should have them any day now. He continues to receive medicated baths and oral medication, and he has a dermatology recheck this Tuesday.

Rocky still needs a permanent foster home no later than 12/15. We’re looking for someone within a reasonable driving distance to Norwalk, CT so he can make it to his specialist appointments.

Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy. Rocky is on the road to healing — he just needs a loving foster to help him continue the journey. 🤍🐶

**Introducing Sandy!** 🌟

This sweet girl was recently rescued from our local animal control, and she’s already settling in well with her foster family. Sandy just had her vet visit and is overall healthy! She’s estimated to be around 8 years old and is a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix with the cutest face and most expressive ears.

As we get to know her personality and quirks, we’ll be sharing more updates soon — but for now, we can confirm she’s an absolute sweetheart. Stay tuned for more info on this lovely lady when she's officially ready to find her forever family! 🐾✨

**🍪 Meet COOKIE — Sweet, Spunky & Ready for Her Forever Home! 🍪**

This petite little queen has been on quite the journey! Cookie was originally found outside with her babies — social and friendly from day one, so she definitely belonged to someone at some point. Sadly, someone came and took her kittens, leaving this young mama all on her own. But don’t worry… Cookie didn’t let that dim her sparkle! ✨

At about 1 year old, Cookie is the perfect mix of sass, sweetness, and independence. She LOVES to play — toys, people, you name it — this girl brings the energy! She’s not a huge cuddler with humans, but she’s all about snuggling up in her cozy bed like the little princess she is. 👑

Some of Cookie’s favorite things:
🐾 Watching wildlife out the window
🐾 Making the cutest little cooing sounds
🐾 Eating (big foodie energy!)
🐾 Being adored by her human friends — she’s also great with children!

We’re not sure yet how she’d do with other cats or dogs, so a slow introduction will be important if you have other pets.
