Project Precious Rescue is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we follow our own rules and beliefs in the best interest of the animals. We keep it as simple as that. We are a small scale rescue with ever changing adoptables, so please check in frequently to find your new best friend!

🐾 **Why is Teeter still waiting?!** 🐾

We can’t believe our girl Teeter hasn’t found her forever home yet — she’s truly one of a kind! 💕

This 1-year-old, 12 lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix is FULL of personality and so much fun to be around. Teeter loves everyone she meets — people, dogs, even cats! She’s got a real zest for life and is always up for an adventure.

She enjoys hiking, walks, car rides, is crate trained and great on leash. When the day winds down, she’s just as happy to curl up for snuggles — the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. ❤️

Her ideal home needs to be with another young, playful dog to keep her company. She would also thrive with a fenced yard where she can safely run and play. Teeter would love to join a family who will include her in all their adventures.

💙 **A Gentle Reminder from Project Precious Rescue** 💙

Project Precious Rescue is 100% volunteer-run. Every email, message, application review, transport, vet visit, and foster coordination happens outside of our full-time jobs, families, and personal responsibilities.

Right now, we are actively saving dogs and cats, pulling them from shelters, coordinating emergency placements, and getting them the medical care they desperately need. On a daily basis, we are inundated with emails, DMs, and messages, and because of this, responses may take some time.

We kindly ask for your patience while we:
🐾 Review applications carefully
🐾 Ensure the best possible match for each animal
🐾 Coordinate vetting, fosters, and adopters

Please also take a moment to read our posts carefully, especially those explaining how to apply. Most questions are already answered there.

📍 **Important:** We adopt to the tri-state area and surrounding states within a few hours’ driving distance only. This helps us ensure safe transitions, proper follow-ups, and support for our adopters and animals.

We promise—every message matters, and every application is reviewed. We just ask for grace and patience as we continue doing this lifesaving work with limited hands and big hearts.

🎉HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2026! 🎉

As we welcome a new year, all of us at Project Precious Rescue are filled with gratitude, reflection, and hope. 💛

This past year in rescue was full of highs and lows — late nights, urgent pleas, medical cases that tested us, and moments that broke our hearts. But it was also filled with second chances, wagging tails, soft purrs, healing, and happy endings that reminded us exactly why we do this work.

None of it would be possible without our supporters and donors who believe in our mission, our volunteers who give their time and hearts, our fosters who open their homes (and couches) to animals in need, our shelter partners who work alongside us to save lives, our veterinary partners who go above and beyond with compassion and care, and our amazing adopters who give these animals the forever homes they deserve — THANK YOU. Every life saved and every happy ending is because of you!

As we step into the new year, we know there will be more animals who need us. More challenges to face. But we also know that together, we are strong. With your continued support, we will keep showing up, keep fighting for the overlooked, the broken, and the forgotten, and keep believing in the power of love and community.

Meet David Porker 🐷💙 — your perfect laid-back companion.

David is a 6–8-year-old Olde English Bulldogge with a heart as big as his adorable wrinkles. He’s easygoing, low energy, and super sweet, the kind of dog who effortlessly fits into family life.

David is great with kids of all ages, does well with other dogs, and would likely be fine with cats with a proper introduction. He’s a calm, gentle soul who is happiest cuddled up by your side, soaking in all the love. Lounging, relaxing, and keeping you company are his favorite pastimes.

He’s not much of a toy guy, but he does have a playful side — especially when it comes to chasing a laser pointer, which he finds endlessly entertaining.

David Porker would be the perfect match for a laid-back home looking for a loving, loyal companion who just wants to be near his people. If your ideal dog is one who enjoys slow days, cozy cuddles, and quiet companionship, David may be your guy!

Roxy & Remy are ready to find their forever home! 💕

These 3-month-old adorable, bonded kitten sisters are truly two of the best little girls you’ll ever meet!

Roxy and Remy are incredibly sweet and affectionate, with purr motors that never seem to turn off. They absolutely love to snuggle and are deeply attached to one another—if they end up in separate rooms, they’ll meow until they’re reunited. Their bond is undeniable and heart-melting.

Roxy is the more outgoing of the two, while Remy is a bit shyer at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’s just as cuddly and loving. Together, they make the perfect pair.

These girls are well-socialized and do great with dogs and other cats. They are fully litter box trained and ready to settle into a forever home—together, of course.

Roxy and Remy must be adopted as a pair and would make an amazing addition to just about any family looking for double the love and sweetness.

Meet Candy🍬 — a tiny girl with a gentle heart just waiting to bloom!

Candy is a 7-month-old, 6-lb long-haired Chihuahua who is as delicate and sweet as her name. She’s very shy at first and needs time, patience, and understanding to feel safe in a new environment. Once she warms up, though, Candy shows her true self: affectionate, playful, and quietly loving.

Candy would thrive in a calm, quiet home with teens/adults only, and she’s looking for an experienced, patient family who will let her move at her own pace. She would love to have another small, friendly dog in the home to help boost her confidence and give her a buddy to play with. She also does fine with feline friends.

She’s still working on potty training, so her future family should be prepared to continue guiding her with consistency and positive reinforcement. She sleeps in her puppy playpen at night without issue.

If you’re the kind of person who believes the most special bonds are built with time and trust, Candy may be the perfect little companion for you. With patience and love, she will reward you with a truly meaningful connection! 💕

✨ Sneak Peek: Meet Star ✨

Star is a 6-month-old Chiweenie puppy who came to us from the same hoarding situation as Tinsel, and is understandably very shy—but underneath it all, she is incredibly sweet. As she settles into her foster home, we’re learning more about her personality every day. With time, patience, and love, she’ll soon be ready to find her forever family. Star will need a calm, and understanding home to help her continue to blossom.

🎄Merry Christmas Eve from Rocky!🎄

We’re so happy to share that Rocky is doing really well in his foster home and is absolutely loving the snow! ❄️🐾 His skin continues to heal beautifully, his hair is growing back, and he just keeps getting stronger every day.

Rocky has a recheck with the dermatologist scheduled for the first week of January, and we’re feeling very hopeful about his continued progress.

Rocky hopes everyone has a wonderful holiday filled with love, warmth, and a little extra joy — just like he’s feeling right now! ❤️🎄

🎄 Meet Tinsel! 🎄

Tinsel is a 6-month-old 10lb male Chihuahua mix who came to us along with three other dogs from a hoarding situation. Despite his rough start, Tinsel is a total sweetheart with a soft, loving soul. He absolutely loves to cuddle and be held and is happiest when he’s close to his people.

Tinsel is a quiet, gentle puppy—not wild or overly rambunctious. He rarely barks, except to let you know he misses you if you’re out of his sight. He’s a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and soon becomes everyone’s friend. He does wonderfully with kids and truly loves everyone he meets.

Because of his background, Tinsel needs to have another dog in the home and thrives with canine companionship. We’re also looking for a home where someone is home more often than not (prefer he goes to a single family home, not an apartment), as he finds comfort in routine and company. He’s currently working on potty training and is making steady progress.

Tinsel would do best in a patient, loving home that will continue to help him build confidence and feel safe. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, and easygoing pup to add to your family (and already have a friendly dog at home), Tinsel might be your perfect match. 🐾💙

Meet Molly! 💕

This teeny little lady is just 7 lbs of sweetness and is estimated to be around 2 years old. Molly is a Schnauzer/Poodle mix who found herself at a local shelter, but we’re so happy our friends there trusted us with the next part of her journey!

So far, Molly is doing great settling into her foster home —super sweet, gentle, and adjusting beautifully. We’re spending some time getting to know her personality even more, and once we do, she’ll be ready to start looking for her forever family.

Stay tuned for updates on this tiny gem… we have a feeling she’s going to steal some hearts! 🐾✨
