Let's talk about this mysterious dog illness! As of now, it is unclear if this illness is novel as it is presenting with typical flu-like symptoms. Therefore, our biggest piece of advice is to bring your dog in as soon as symptoms present themselves. As we always say, early detection is key. The quicker we can get a PCR test, the sooner we can treat them.

Although there are no current reported cases in CT, please note that we have always had a very strict vaccination policy as well as an infectious disease protocol put in place so there is no cause for panic.
