Fourth of July is fun for us, but for pets, fireworks can be terrifying.

Help your pet feel secure with a quiet space and make sure their ID tags are updated in case they panic and run.

And if you know your pet gets anxious, ask your vet ahead of time about calming options. Prevention is peace of mind.

During summer, sidewalks and asphalt can reach dangerously high temperatures that may burn paw pads in seconds.

Try this test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your pet.

Morning and evening walks are safest—and don’t forget grassy paths, booties, or protective wax!
