Very deep buck with a great head and ear! He has nice a dense coat with a slightly longer guard hair, would cross well with those softer textured does! Could have some more width to balance with his depth.

I made a last minute decision this weekend to go to Jefferson just to hang out. While I brought two with that weren’t in coat they still placed right up at the top behind some BOB/BOSB winners so that was encouraging!

Bre and I were being responsible adults by working on college homework and eating cookies when we weren’t showing. And Allyse sent me home with some cute juniors. It was a weekend full of fun and laughter. The best kind of medicine!

Huge breed totals for both Mini Rex and Polish!

ARS Bellatrix was building a litter when I was getting ready to leave Friday for the show, Saturday my neighbor stopped over to feed/water and sent me a picture of 3 black otters (1 being a peanut). Today when I got home the first thing I did was check on my litter and to my surprise there was 5 total and one of them being a CHOCOLATE OTTER! What a great way to end this bunny filled weekend!

Before this gets out of hand I would like to speak the truth for myself.

I recently sold a white herd Buck that was registered, granded and was BIS MN State Convention in 2023. He was being sold as a proven herd Buck due to the fact he was over 2 years old. Since I was not using him as much as my other herd bucks I recently listed him for sale. The lady that bought him in Kansas met transport today and then the buyer messaged me demanding she received a refund. She told the transporter he only had a nub on his toe but then told me his toe was completely missing. And that she would not be able to show him. I have shown this animal many times but with Mini Rex you really only have a few months of their prime which I had stated to her when I had originally posted him for sale with another herd buck at the beginner of month. This has been nothing short of headache. Based off the videos she sent me he had pulled a nail. As a breeder I paid up to my mistake of missing a pulled toe nail. I sent her 35% refund because she is unable to show a herd buck. She is spreading lots of lies and attempting to defame my name. If anyone has any questions or would like proof regarding my side please do not hesitate to contact me.

Would anyone be interested if I started carrying PLT (Poultry Litter Treatment) locally? I recently started using it for my rabbit trays and the difference in the ammonia is night-and-day. I am located in Cambridge, MN (east central part of the state) and the nearest place that carries it is over an hour and a half away. So this would offer breeders in my area an easier opportunity to get ahold of it. I would price the 50lb bags at $30 each. Please PM me if you are interested in trying any!

First show of the year done!
Yesterday I made the long trip out to Tomah with only two to show. I took a long break last year so I only have one black buck that I kept back and today was his first time out of the barn.

I have reduced my herd significantly to only 26 animals currently. But I started my winter breeding a couple weeks ago and I’m up to 6 does bred so far!

ARS Ziggy went back to Allyse’s house temporarily to produce some pretty babies for her!

Nationals will be here sooner than we think!

It’s mid November here in Minnesota and it’s still “warm” enough to pressure wash cages. I wish the days stayed lighter longer but I can’t complain with this weather!

This past year has been tough. I’ve been teetering on the decision of selling out for months. BUT a couple weeks ago I found the PERFECT shed. Anyone that knows me knows I’m tight with my money… but I couldn’t pass this deal up. I didn’t want to jinx anything until I got it home. But today was spent hauling my new shed home with my new truck. Everything went according to plan and some final touches will be put on it before winter. I’m looking forward to seeing you all at spring shows!

I decided at 10am this morning that I’d try to make it in time for show 3 of the MN State Convention Weekend show. I sadly missed out yesterday because of work. I showed up just in time as they were judging selfs.
