As summer approaches, it's essential to prioritize your dog's grooming to keep them cool and comfortable. Here are some tips/services to have done regularly to ensure comfortability:
1. *Haircuts*: Consider a shorter trim to help your dog stay cool in the heat.
2. *Regular brushing*: Prevent matting and tangling, and reduce shedding.
3. *Nail trimming*: Keep those paws neat and tidy to prevent overgrowth.
4. *Ear cleaning*: Prevent infections and reduce odor.
5. *Paw care*: Trim hair between paw pads and apply paw balm to protect from hot pavement.
6. *Bathing*: Keep your dog clean, but avoid over-bathing, which can strip their coat of natural oils.
7. *Hydration*: Ensure your dog always has access to fresh water.
8.*Overheating*: Any dog can overheat, but our Brachycephalic dogs can even quicker! Pay close attention to the signs of overheating/heat stroke. Some popular brachycephalic breeds include:
*English and French Bulldogs
*Pugs
*Boxers
