Growing up I knew I wanted to spend as much time with horses as I could. What better way then to be in a profession that allows me to keep them healthy, treat them when they are sick, and assist them through all life stages. The horse that creates so many smiles from that 11 year old girl riding around the show arena or down the trail is what drives me everyday. This is my way of saying thanks and
giving back to the horses that have made such an impact on my life. My goal is to offer sound, affordable, and reliable medical and emergency care to all horses and horse owners in my area.

TODAY'S THE DAY!!!!
We are as excited as you are! We open at 7 PM tonight for our first overnight shift! It's going to be overwhelming, wonderful, and a little scary! We want to give everyone a couple of reminders to make sure every pet has the smoothest journey with us:
1) We are a lot smaller than VSES was, and smaller than most of the other emergency facilities in the surrounding areas. We will not have the capacity to see every pet. Like a human ER, we will need to prioritize the most critical cases. You may get redirected to another emergency facility. That brings us to:
2) Please call ahead if possible. We can help you assess your pet's situation and determine if we have the capacity to provide the care they might need. We can also collect your information and begin to check your pet in, making it easier for you when you arrive.
3) We will be open for emergencies NIGHTS and WEEKENDS only. The wonderful Animal Hospital of Rochester is providing us with a space to work, but they are maintaining their general practice in the space during the day. Animal Hospital of Rochester is a separate organization, and is not taking emergency patients during their hours.
4) Our staff truly cares about the pets we treat and the Rochester Community. Emergency care is stressful for everyone involved. Please treat our staff with kindness and respect, especially as we get through the hiccups to get the hospital up and running. We promise to treat you and your pets with compassion and the best care we can provide 🐾

This is perfect impaction colic weather y'all so please please please make sure your horses are drinking good!! Lots of ways to encourage fluid intake so pick your favorite and treat your horses! Making up a batch of soaked hay cubes for dinner for my crew right now!

Sharing some bummer news....a couple weeks ago now Lynsey had an accident and buggered up her knee something fierce. While we are awaiting a treatment course for her she is homebound instead of being my daily sidekick. Where I would normally be answering the phone and making appointments and what not it's just not possible right now.
So, with that said, if you are needing a routine appointment, paperwork, or a simple question, please reach out to her instead of me. If you have anything urgent, sick, or a specific question about a case feel free to reach out to me directly but know that I'll be slow getting back to you.

Happy November 1st and the first snow of the year (barf lol). Because of the direction prices are going on everything I have no choice but to respond and make some changes. So, whether you pay online or in person there will be a 3% difference in the total of your bill depending on how you pay. Chosing to pay by cash or check will yield a cheaper bill than by credit card. I appreciate your understanding on this!
It's Vet Tech appreciation week and although I try and say thank you as much as I can it will never be enough! This week has been a challenge and I'm just so grateful for this lady to be on my team. Thank you thank you thank you for everything Lynsey!!!!!
Thank you everyone for reaching out with support, bringing gifts, and being patient during Rylee's initial days of recovery. She is doing great overall so I'm back in the office today. It may take most of today to get back to everyone but I'm sure going to try!!!

Rylee is showing a dairy calf and her horse, Madelyn is showing her goats, sheep, and calf!! I will be riding Saturday also! Such a fun week!!! Come see us, support the fair and all these kiddos who work so hard!!!!

Happy Monday Morning! Little reminder that this is our busiest time of the year! Right now we are booked atleast a month out for regular appointments and even further for some farm call locations and surgeries. We are offering vaccine clinics and some vaccine afternoon hang outs at the office so if you need something done sooner than when we can get to you, figure out how to get those horses to me!

A last minute change of schedules has today being the day I am going in for part 1 of a medical procedure. This means I am out of commission today, and won't know until later exact details of recovery but should be back on my feet tomorrow no problem (or better be!) Everything is fine no need to worry, just a quick detour and life will go on!

Hello beautiful clientele!!! I know it's been awhile since I've posted!
Spring vaccine season is upon us yet again and we are offering a few different opportunities to make life easy and efficient for us all!
Vaccine clinics:
March 25th, 11am until 2pm I will be at Hidden Meadow Ranch in Clyde
April 22nd I will be at Little Bear Acres (Westwind Farm) in Stanley from 10am until 2pm
If you plan on attending either of these, please let me know so we can pack accordingly! If anyone else would like to host a clinic please let me know!
There are also a few afternoons we have designated to be at the office for anyone to haul in. These afternoons can be last minute show ups or call on your way type situations as I totally understand life happens and plans can change. These days are 4/28, 5/5, 5/12 all noon to 3 (ish)
This is the busiest time of year for us with so many horses and people to see. We are trying to offer more opportunites for "haul to us" scenarios so we are able to see more in less time. In turn this leaves us more avaliable for other services and most importantly any emergency situations that might arise. With that in mind we kindly ask that if you have a couple horses, a trailer, and the ability please try and take advantage of these offerings!

After a LONG two weeks Rylee is feeling good and is finally headed back to school!! Thank you to everyone for your positive vibes and thoughts! We appreciate every single one of them! That being said I am still not caught up yet with everything but I'm trying like crazy to get there!!!
Many of you know its been a long week with my daughter being very sick. We have a couple more hard days in front of us until we are expected to be on the upswing.
