Attention: Please read 🐾♥️🐾 Important Information coming from Country Pets Grooming Salon
I have been wanting to make this post for awhile now, Please take into consideration that grooming a pet does not have a exact time frame, this being said, here are a few examples of why your pet might or might NOT be done in a timely 1-3 hour span
🐾 Temperament
- wiggy
- naughty
- elderly
- puppy’s first groom
- has troubles standing or sitting
- might not like their nails done
- likes the scissors but not the clippers
🐾 Hair and Coat Conditions
-matted / matting in spots
-tangles / knots
- thick hair compared to thin hair
- fleas / ticks “ adds another 15 mins plus
- medication shampoo “ adds another 15 mins
- sensitive skin “ have to be light on the brushing”
- dirty or infected ears
🐾Washing / Drying
- some like it some don’t, this all takes time with making your pet feel comfortable and trustworthy
- again medicated, flea and de-skunk shampoos, these take a extra 10-15 mins extra for your pet to sit in order for these to work properly
- mating
- dirty or extra filth “ takes another round of bathing”
- is your pet on a schedule? Those that are, is less upkeep. Those that are not, have that much more extra hair that takes longer to wash and dry. This all matters when we are expected to stay on “time” frame.
🐾Also to mention
Answering the phone, scheduling appts, checking your pets in and checking them out, new customers come in, we like to have a good feel of what they would like done, this takes Communication! pets do have accidents and or get nervous, this leads to cleaning up the mess or at times re- bathing and drying them.
Please understand some people do not know exactly what breed they have, or what it may be mixed with. This leads to marking off a 2 hour spot that takes 3. The sharping guy comes often, might take 20-30 mins to get our scissors back, our phone rings with a outside of work important phone call, this list could go on.
🐾♥️ All I’m asking is for your patience and understanding 🐾♥️ you can not put time on a animal. It takes a special kind of person and patience for this job.. PLEASE APPRECIATE your Groomers/ Vets or anyone for that matter of working with animals.
🐾♥️ I appreciate everyone of you 🐾♥️ and LOVE your fur babies just as much!! Thank you Kristin
