Took the sweetest boy LEO for a Montana break from doggy jail this weekend.
Leo is a male Husky who has been at Emerald Street Kennels for just short of three years. We are desperate to find him a home so he can live the second half of his life being a normal, happy dog. We can’t figure out why he hasn’t been adopted other than people wrongly pe***ng ALL Huskies to be escape artists or fence jumpers.
Leo has a very gentle disposition and is very quiet. He is potty trained and great on a leash. Although best as an only dog, he pretty much just ignores all the yapping and barking dogs he comes across. No small children. Probably the only caveat is that he does seem to have some separation anxiety, but when left in 3 hour increments a few times over the weekend, he settled in, watching the door and was not destructive. He doesn’t care for wire kennels, but would do fine with the larger ones where he can move around. Most likely, someone who isn’t gone from home much would be the ideal person/people.

This big guy has been the greatest: he is affable, gentle, soft and laid back.
I know he’s happy to have his Mom, Dad and his kids home. Saint Bernards love their little peeps.🐾
