Went through my juniors last night getting ready to see who’s going to the fair and who stays to be shown hopefully within the next two three months before winters here decided I’m keeping my broken black buck from lady may and osmosis litter and the solid blue from drama and osmosis litter along with the back doe and broken castor from lady may and osmosis’s litter and of course I couldn’t let baby parsley leave either she may be tiny but she’s got good type so I’ll keep her around I only got picture of the bucks tho cause the doe were so hard to choose I was too busy wrapping my brain on that then photos

Did a time lapse of feeding and cleaning fleetwoods cage this is what I do everyday when I get home these don’t include the ducks or permafrost who in an outside hutch I also scraped up the wet hay that falls from cages off the floor before I started the video I try to show you what I feed it goes very fast though but I feed a cup of blue seal hutch Delux with a top dressing of oats, black oil sunflower seeds and calfmana to add a little extra to there diet getting ready to start breeding This month! cause it’s poor quality, I don’t have much light I plan on doing another of me cleaning the barn in the daylight now that I know how! Stay tuned!

Little farm update I’ve now tried twice to breed for rex national babies and both failed I’m hoping perm just doesn’t like breeding in the winter cause he’s a gorgeous buck I really want a litter out of. So try number three is in progress with fleetwood and floppy’s fleetwood is proven so I’m hoping he gets the job done for me! The babies are only gonna be about 4 months old for nationals little younger then I would like to be taking but at this Point I’ll just be happy with having something to take to nationals. I’m also gonna try to do a weekly meet the rabbits post we only have 7 breeders so it won’t last that long but it should be fun stay tuned! Will be posting the first rabbits later this week!

As usual I’ve been neglecting my farm page today I took a big leap and I’m doing something even a month ago you ask me to do and I’d look at you like you had two heads, and then I got to thinking why? Everybody gets dirty barns and have to clean them I’m no different so why should you just see what my barn looks like on clean day so here are my before and after barn cleaning day I was gonna make a video but I don’t think my camera roll could handle that and god knows what horrible faces I make while cleaning the barn 😂 soo here you are folks my dirty and clean barn we aren’t all perfect it can’t look picture perfect at all the time we are only human 🧡 I’m also breeding permafrost and fern atm those are the two in the big cage ☺️

It’s that time of year again we have four litters due this year so far
One rex breeding Eleanor x permafrost
I had retired Eleanor last year but she decided to pull a false nest on breeding week so I gave the old girl a shot
Two neatherland dwarf breedings Guyla x Salem
Midnight x Salem
I’ve had guyla a while hoping this was successful and we are finally gonna get a litter out of her
Midnight has been an awesome mom in the past and I’m hoping for yet another great litter from her
Finally we have my project litter which I’m pretty excited about maybel -American fuzzy lop x Salem
Trying to make my own fuzzy line and excited to see how that’s goes! Stay tuned for baby pictures the last week of April into the first couple days of may! Babies will of course be available at the Champlain valley fair this August!

With life comes death
July 21 we welcomed this beautiful litter of three to the homestead,they’ve been doing amazing and growing like weeds, we have a beautiful castor, a booted black otter and a gorgeous big black otter.
on July 31 in the wee hours of the night while most the homestead was settled in almost to bed I got a call that made my world just freeze. My little brother had gotten into a ATV/motor vehicle accident not only him are beloved friend Tracey (trashy) was with him as well. tho I sat in my camper and hoped those boys were on there way to recovery cause I knew they had a good hospital staff waiting for them they sadly felt it was time to go. I don’t talk about my family on here much tho there a very big part of the homestead if I got help from anyone with the rabbits it was always bob I could convince to do it. I’m lost and empty without my brother but I cannot be sad about him passing he went to be with so much family and with his best friend at his side to help get there I’m a little on the jealous side honesty lotta people up there I’d love to see and when my time comes Ik you’ll all be there waiting for me.
So as we celebrate three new life’s just starting to figure out what the world is we reflect on the deaths of two very loved ones in which I’m not sure what this world will be like now without.

Are blue berries are starting to change colors no blue berries beat the blue berries off theses plants they started with my grandmother who was a gardening guru when she passed we moved them to the mountain where they’ve continued to thrive and provide the best blueberries I’ve ever had year after year.

Hello everyone! Sorry I have gone so quite and I’m usually not this time of year I’m usually buried in rabbits getting ready to for the fair! As you all know fairs are canceled this year. I also earlier this year had a sickness go through my barn which brought the my herd down significantly in size sadly it been a rough year. But me and my now tiny herd of 9 are ready to push through the rest of this year. With are two big announcements. ONE we are relocating in August we will no longer be on the hill....which leave me looking for a new farm name. TWO are first 2020 litter should be here July 19th! Fiona and fleetwood are to be first time parents I’ve been waiting a whole year for this litter and I’m super great full to still have these two healthy happy and still with me. More updates to come!

OTH’S “Alaska” growing out her baby coat so excuse that but such a meaty doe I’m so in love
OTH’S “ Dixie chic” has lots of guard hairs but I’m hoping they will molt out when her adult coat comes in love her type and again a meaty little doe
OTH’S “Fiona” sadly has no nose markings so I can’t show her but she has an amazing coat and decent type she also not rough over the shoulder which is something I struggle with and all these girls feel great over the shoulders !!!
