Golden Nugget ~ Adorable 12.2 hd gelding. This sweet boy has taken good care of his rider from learning to post the trot through cross rails and is now for sale because she has moved on to other interests. With us he has shown pre-beginner and crossrails but he has the stride for the division and can canter a 2'3 course with more advanced kids. Good mover! Priced in the low 5's for a quick and uncomplicated sale. Videos to come.

The H.J. Fox Summer Classics horse show in Conyers this past weekend was a big success for our Hunter riders despite the intense heat! Congratulations to Alison, Emme, Caroline, Carrington and Censignton!

Lots of great ribbons for all the riders!

Some highlights:

Emme kicked off the show with a strong finish in 4th out of 29 in the Sagamore Stables Hunter Derby on Ferdinand. We all enjoyed watching the stadium ring from the shade of the oak trees! The Paine girls learned so much by watching the Hunter ring and the Jumper ring from the hill ~

Cennsington started us all off on Saturday morning with her debut in the Leadline ~ she did an awesome job and tied with her fellow participants for 1st place! Her sisters, Carrington and Caroline, joined her in the beginner ring for some hefty competition (some of these beginners look very seasoned:) and they each won very nice ribbons in a variety of colors! Caroline even cantered! Onward and Upward for these three - at this rate it won't be long and they will be jumping in the big rings! This trio had a blast playing on the water slide after competing both Saturday and Sunday.

Alison and Emme both won Champion of their Equtation over fences divisions. Emme was second in the H.J. Fox Equitation Challenge in the stadium on her very new to her M-Figaro's Star. And, Alison was 2nd out of a sea of riders in her Walk/Trot EQ Challenge on Sunday! Alison was delighted in some very positive feedback that she recieved from Judge Murphy on Sunday and is looking forward to moving up soon.

Oh ....and Robert Whitacker had an outstanding 55th birthday with us on Saturday! Cupcakes and Itailan! Alison even got us ALL to sing in the resturant ~ goodtimes.

Special thanks to Robert, Keller and Zoe Whitaker for all thier help keeping things going all weekend from setting up to shuffling me around between rings on the golfcart to hooking up and loading up in the end. Our older riders assisted our littles in learning all about horse showing and handling ponies in a big venue. Gotta love seeing this level of camaraderie. We are all looking forward to the next show ~ hoping it won't be so hot but knowing that it will....

Our girls had a great time at the Coastal Hunter Show @ Evermore today. Lots of lessons and good ribbons but the best thing was how they encouraged and helped each other in the barn and at the ring!

There’s not many shows were we have down time, but we did this weekend at the Carolina Color Classic. Lexi and Reno got to take a well deserved break in the tall grass and just enjoy the sun for a little bit.

Our adventure at the Carolina Color Classic 6 Judge APHA/All Breed Show - $20,000 Chrome Cash started out great this evening ! Angela Patton Halt and her daughter Lexi and Reno did excellent and won the Open Chrome Cash !! My Rip was a good boy and started out strong in his first class. We are looking forward to the rest of this show !!

What an Awesome 1st H.J. Fox show of the year! MCE riders all showed up in the fridgid, windy cold and were rewarded for their hardwork and dedication to the sport. The ladies each won at least one Champion in a Equitation Division!

Special Congratulations to Brynnley Keel who moved up a division to Mini Stirrup and after a difficult 1st day put together all that we worked on and came out with a 1st place in the EQ over fences and a 3rd on the flat on Sunday winning the division. She demonstrated her ability to be coachable and show grit!! I look forward to watching her progress with Cabana Boy this season!

Emme Whitaker started her show weekend off winnning the H.J. Fox Equitation Challenge and continued the weekend with multiple Champion and Reserve Champions in each of her divisions. Sunday morning she had a bit of a disappointing round going off course in the Derby as it was the twistiest, craziest course she has ever tried to remember …. She didn’t let that dissapoinment hold her back from continuing the show with a positive attitude. Emme’s horse Ferdinand is currently available for lease so this may have been their last show together!

Alison Lyall has developed as a rider over the winter. Horse showing can be a test of patience at times! Alison’s classes were a struggle on Saturday but she dealt with the confusion like a champ. And Sunday she literally schooled and then put herself in the ring as I was caught up with Brynnley in another ring. She rode exceptionally well and was rewarded with Champion of that division! She also placed well in the w/t Fox challenge in good company. Way to go Alison!

Special thanks to Sydney Cates for all her support from the barn to the ring! She truly helped smooth out the rough spots 😉 And Robert & Keller Whittaker for tearing down and packing up! I was cold and tired from running between rings & you got us ready to roll!
