Limited volunteers and staff, limited resources and funding, burn-out and compassion fatigue. All of these issues are constantly faced by animal rescue organizations. Rescuers have to make tough decisions on a regular basis. Their burdens are massive and they have to fight to stay positive. One thing that makes it easier is the support of an understanding and gracious community. If you have a heart for animals and you’re wondering how you can help, consider fostering, volunteering or donating. HSSBC is honored to be a voice for the vulnerable and powerless among us.

8 of the 9 that were returned from TNR at Quality Inn.
All doing well. Come for regular feedings. Other one is there on occasion.. I'm sure he has many places he goes for dinner. Handsome big male tuxedo- now neutered too.
All from this area have been TNR'd.
I have kept 9 of the young ones to socialize and adopt out as pets.

If you remember seeing the request for help for the Quality Inn stray , semi feral cats.... we have trapped 10 as of tonight for spay/ neuter.
I sm still hoping for a few barn homes for the cats to go in pairs instead of being returned to the Quality Inn. It's on a busy road. These cats deserve a chance to live safe happy lives.
Please consider helping provide a safe barn home for a few... and share this post.
This is the last 4 trapped tonight.
Please text message me or leave a voicemail if you can help out.

A few of the TNR community cats from my job location.
Trapped #20 today. She is young enough, I hope to be able to socialize and adopt out as a pet.
There are 8 that are there every day. A few others come and go as they want.
They're good company to me on lunch breaks and when I feed them daily.

We are always in need of barn homes.. many cats need a place to call home.
They do better in pairs. They need to have a place for shelter from weather and you provide food and water daily. Having the cats around is a payoff.. they keep the rodents in control.
Please contact us if interested in seeing if we can help you help these cats.
