Just a follow up post that 3.5 wks in, I am still suffering from shingles on my right arm and hand. I’m a rightie and my right arm and hand are basically still unusable. That said, I can only check paw partner and my phone etc, once a day max. Sometimes every other day. I am still in extreme pain and not able to do much of anything. Hopefully I’ll get better soon. Thanks for understanding!

Sorry about the lack of dog pictures lately. My shoulder/arm pain turned out to be shingles. Let me tell you when they say shingles is painfull, they are not lying! I tried to go get some pictures today but big dogs started jumping on me and I can’t have them scratching the shingles rash. So for a bit longer, I will require your patience. I have also been extremely slow getting back to people, but again, the shingles has kept me in bed for at least a week. I’m starting to mend though!! Thanks for understanding!!

We are on a bad streak lately. Our cat Simba just basically dropped dead today. Thats 3 dogs and 1 cat within 12.5 months. Plus I’m having an issue with excruciating pain in my right shoulder and arm, which is keeping me from doing much of anything except laying in bed with a heating pad all day. Simba was Billy’s cat we bought but basically rescued from a bad barn situation. Any prayers are appreciated. Billy is besides himself over this loss.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the human and fur mommy’s! Thank you for understanding our desire to close this weekend to spend precious time together as a family at the beach. We honestly almost never all go away together. It’s usually just one or two of us while the other(s) stay home with our animals and the dogs. These couple of days away will be refreshing before our crazy busy next two months that are just about completely all booked up. Picture of my grandson who we spent the weekend with for his first time at the beach!

My Lizzie is going to cross the rainbow bridge today. She is 17 yrs, 3 months and 4 days old. She lived a great life! She will be met by Darla and Hoodsie who crossed last year. Plus Blackie plus cat siblings Muey, Grayt, Jaguar, Mittens. Ranchside veterinary in China Grove is coming to the house to do it here. We really like Dr Cole Annas. Lizzie is the last of our dogs. (Sigh.) For now, we will just enjoy your dogs who come here, not to mention our other 3 cats, the horses, goats, and cattle. Your dogs do become family to us. This pic of Lizzie is from today.
