While we weren’t able to get pictures of every attendee, we wanted to share a snippet of our 4th Annual Reverse Trick-or-Treat event held this past Friday. We want to thank each and every person who attended, who donated and who helped in any way to make this 4th annual event, yet another success. Congratulations to Highland Canine Training for winning the Trunk-or-Treat completion for the second year in a row! We took in lots of food donations for our community pantry and collected $70 in monetary donations!! We look forward to next year’s milestone year being the 5th annual event! Do you ever long for a window washing buddy? You don’t mind doing windows, but boy it sure would be more fun if there were someone to help. Look no further than these two currently at our PetSmart Cat Adoption Center at the 214 Turnersburg Highway location of PetSmart! Blossom, on the left and Junior on the right were in sync with ICAS Lead PS Volunteer Nicole as she was washing the window to their kennel today! Please go meet these two adorable cats in person to learn more about them. We just are simply puzzled that they are still there. They are both friendly, affectionate and get along great with one another.

So, what do YOU do when YOUR back is itching?? This is what Eddie does!! And we must say, it seems to really work!! Sweet Eddie is 3 years old and is one lovable guy! He is always eager to please and is really coming into loving hanging out with other dogs since his arrival! He is friendly, affectionate and loves food… which should make training easy! He weighs 33 pounds and is a setter retriever mix! This handsome pupper is ready for his own home… with his very own yard or green space upon which to scratch his back all the time, not to mention his very own family to love on! Officer Sweeny visited our Microchip Scanning station at the Troutman Library to inspect it and ensure everything was in good working order. During his visit, he wanted to remind everyone about the ease of using these stations and stress the importance of ensuring that your contact information is up-to-date with your pet's microchip company, especially if this hurricane 🌀⛈️ ends up heading our way.
*It's important to note that no stuffed animals were harmed in the making of this video when he freed his hands of "Sam"! 🤣🤣

Brody and Harry's tug-of-war game ended in a draw. Nevertheless, there were no hard feelings, as a little friendly competition is always healthy for best friends! It's hard to believe that these two have been in the shelter for a combined total of 128 days, with Brody being our longest-staying dog at 81 days. Both of these dogs have had successful foster getaways, and we are confident they will make great companions for someone.
