We are SO EXCITED! Our very own MAGGIE has won the Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia (TRAV) Horse of the Year award! Here is Carolyn Meyer accepting the awards on Maggie's behalf. Photos of Maggie wearing her new saddle pad will be taken once Maggie is back with us after her winter break!

We are looking to add one more unicorn to our herd!

We care lease all of our horses! We provide top quality grain, hay and supplements, as well as medications typically associated with older horses (equioxx, bute). Ample turnout and a stall to come into to eat meals and nap.
Our barn manager has years and years of equine health management experience and a b.s. from Centenary university.
Your horse will experience top notch care and a light work load! Our instructors are all thoughtful about our horses needs. And our students will love on them every second of the day!

What are we looking for?

Ideally a Draft type capable of carrying weight

Preferably about 16-18 hands. Any color, gaited or not, just needs to be sweet, friendly and bomb proof (mostly). Will have a mostly walking job. 🦄

Or
A Haflinger or Fjord type, stocky and can carry weight but not quite as large. 14-16 hands. Should be sweet and friendly, mostly bombproof. May be asked to trot a long side of the arena. 🦄

Mares preferred, but geldings totally fine too! We just have more space for mares right now.

We took advantage of the warmer weather last week and snuck in some ba****ck riding for winter program! We even found time for a short trail ride!

This week the temps are too frigid to ride, so we’ll keep the horses bundled up and snuggly warm!

Postcard reminders will be in mailboxes very soon! Spring session starts March 3, so be sure to have paperwork, schedules and payments in to Carolyn asap.

We filled one position, and still have an open part time barn worker position available!
Mornings only!
Feeding, turnout, grooming and a few stalls.
7:30ish-11am
Horse keeping experience necessary.
Must be reliable, and have own transportation.
