This is the social page for Lundberg Siberians -- a place to follow along as we raise our litters, and to share photos and mini-stories about the kittens who then became part of your family. "Is *that* kitten available?" If a specific kitten becomes available without a reservation, we'll let you know! Otherwise, we place our kittens with families on the reservation list, with a typical wa

it time of 6-12 months. We allergen-test most of our litters, and kittens are placed based on a combination of allergen level and a family's position on our reservation list. KittenTesting.com and UC Davis spent five years stabilizing the tests for use in kittens. About 15% of Siberians test in the lowest two allergen ranges. Even the lowest mating can still produce normal allergen kittens. Currently there are 8 catteries listed on the Testing website that are licensed to test allergen levels in kittens. Our prices for tested kittens are similar to theirs. When we receive an inquiry through our website for an area we don't ship to, as a courtesy we refer families to the closest other cattery that tests kittens. Two of us share page management: Chris raises litters in Portland. Sarah occasionally raises a litter, and does the final photography set for most litters. We reserve the right to block unpleasantness of any kind.

We have four kittens available now, without a reservation. Clove (green collar, female) is appropriate for families with mild allergies. The three boys are normal-allergen, for families without cat allergies. This is a very affectionate, playful litter with soft, soft fur -- think a lap full of purring fluff. This is Cinnamon, an extremely affectionate playful boy with a loud purr. He's full of energy -- he loves to chase toys and jump and pounce, and then curl up in your lap to sleep. Cinnamon is 13 weeks old. His orange markings will brighten over the next two years, and he'll have a snowy coat. Cinnamon is *normal* allergen (not appropriate for homes with any cat allergies). Clove is a medium-allergen girl with a sweet, loving personality. She's unfazed by noise, and has very gentle soft paws -- perfect for a household with small children. She's available now on a first-come basis. Email [email protected] for more information.

We have kittens available without a reservation! Here they've conveniently grouped themselves by allergen level: Cinnamon and Cardamom are normal-allergen boys. Clove, on the left, is a medium-allergen girl; she's suitable for families with mild allergies.

EDIT: Daffodil and Dogwood have both been reserved.

These two kittens have been trained for homes with little children. Part of their training includes learning to play while being careful not to scratch or bite. The clip below shows one of the methods we use to teach them to attack a toy but not our hands.

Their allergen levels might range from Very Low to Normal. If a family picks up in person, we will guarantee allergy placement. They will be available until June 17th. As of that date, we will hold any unsold kitten for testing, and sell it to families on the waitlist.

Daffodil and Dogwood are available until 06/17/24. If a family picks up in person, we will guarantee allergy placement for 15 days. Their allergen levels are untested, and could vary from Very Low to Normal. After 06/17 we will measure their allergen levels and sell them based on their individual allergen levels. Tom & Meredith specifically raised this litter for a family with a child with special needs. The kittens as a group have had 40-60 hours of additional training. They are extremely gentle, tolerant of awkward handling and behaviors, come when called, and are ideal companions for young children.

DOGWOOD is a male black mackerel tabby. 2 lb 6 oz. Quite the chunk! He loves to play outside in the cat run, and enjoys being pulled the floor in his Ferrari (a cardboard box with a string). Lots of fun and a wonderful kitty. Dogwood is sweet and very, very gentle with children. His coat will be big and full, but easy care.

DAFFODIL is a female black mackerel tabby. 2 lbs. A sweetheart who loves games. Her favorites are playing soccer with crinkle balls, and playing "paws" under the bathroom door. She chases her mom (Sienna) around the house. Daffodil climbs up on laps for games and naps. She is a sweet affectionate kitty and gives little kitty kisses.

DESERT ROSE is naturally resilient, and has received 20-30 extra hours of training specific for children with autism. She is an ideal companion for young children and adults. The family will be meeting her Saturday (the 15th). if they do not take her, she will also be available (though not at the same price as the other two).

Pop-up laundry hampers are one of our household's very favorite kitten toys. Kittens wrestle in them, slide under them, pounce on top of them, and scoot them around the floor. Here Cinnamon is quite deliberately propelling this one sideways like a hamster wheel!

We'll be allergen-testing the C kittens and selling them by their allergen levels in about three weeks.

We're currently accepting applications from families with no or mild-to-moderate cat allergies. Our list is full for families with severe cat allergies.

Good morning! Here are more photos from my visit to the D litter! I love the warm tones in these tabbies. :) And -- though I didn't capture it since I was concentrating on cute-kittens-in-bowls photos (Calendar next year! 🥳) -- a couple have black-tipped fur with a lighter undercoat. So pretty!

We ARE accepting applications now from families with no cat allergies or mild-moderate cat allergies. Our wait list is full for families with severe allergies.

It's possible that one of the D kittens will be available.

We don't currently know which kittens will be available and which will be taken by families on the list. Most of our litters will be allergen-tested and matched to families by allergen level. The D litter will be sold untested, with presales starting at the end of May.

I visited the D litter yesterday. (I have the C litter.) Aren't they darling fluffballs? They were playing in a beautiful bowl, so of course I had to arrange them and take photos.... ;) Here are a few. I'll post more when I'm at my computer again.

We ARE accepting reservations for untested kittens and from families with mild to moderate allergies. Families who apply now for a normal-allergen kitten should be able to get a kitten this summer. Here are yesterday's pictures of the C litter, with a tutorial on how to tell them apart. :) They're all playful and sweet, so you can't distinguish them that way. You'll have to go by markings and noses! Click on the individual photos for details.

The C litter will be tested for allergen levels in a month, and will be matched to families' allergen needs. We'll have two untested litters this year. Those will be presold at 8 weeks. The first is the D litter, currently 6 weeks old.

Sonya is in labor with the “F” litter. Right now her contractions are about a half hour apart. She came and got me and led me to the nesting box. If I leave, she gets out and follows me to bring me back. It’s going to be a long day…..

More kittens! The E litter is three weeks old. Their eyes are open and they're starting to awkwardly play with each other.

We rarely have this many litters at once, but most of our queens will have kittens this spring, available June-August. (They're each raised in a different home. :) )

The D litter is four weeks old! They're big, charming fluffballs, their ears still a little floppy. You can see the warmth in the faces. The bodies of a couple will alternate dark stripes with warm or orange stripes. Two others have a light gray/silver under the top dark fur.

This litter will not be allergen-tested. They will be PRESOLD at 8 weeks, and will go to their new homes approximately June 16th. We are accepting reservations for this litter. Email Sarah@LundbergSiberians for more information.

10:17 Kitten Three. Another mama look-alike! A girl. And yes, she weighs the same as her sister, so after this, I have to wait for markings to come on to tell them apart… but what else is new? This is kitten raising 101…. HA! We don’t mark them in any way when they are born. Usually the weights help us tell them apart. We’ve heard about ways to mark them, but for their health, it is better to let time pass and keep them healthy first. Oh my gosh, do I love what I do!!!!! 35 years doing this and it never gets old. 😻

All the kittens are very fierce with feathers!

The “Q” litter is almost 9 weeks old! They were playing in their favorite basket and it was just too cute to not capture!

When Sasha left her nest to get a drink of water, Marmalade decided to climb in with the “O” litter! Marmalade is almost 12 weeks and those babies are almost 3 weeks.
