An extended period of hot weather will be with us this Friday through Monday. Right now the hottest days look to be Saturday through Monday, but may still be quite warm going into Tuesday. High temperatures forecast to be in the 100-105 degree range Saturday through Monday for the lowland. Even the Cascades will be quite warm. The high temperature at Government Camp will be in the low 90s.

Hot weather safety tips: If you must be outdoors, plan you outside activities during the cooler part of the day. Do not leave children, pets in the a parked car.

Due to a significant increase in fire activity in multiple geographic areas, as well as increased competition for shared resources, the National Preparedness Level has been elevated to Preparedness Level 4 (PL4).

In the last 20 years, 2002, 2008, and 2012 are the only previous fire years when the National Preparedness Level has been increased to PL4 in the month of the June. Since 1990, today is the second earliest we have increased to PL4.

ENTRY LEVELS: Will be having more entry level courses in the next months. If your interested in being part of our team you must attend a four day course and pass a pack test.

In the course you will go over fire behavior and weather, hazards and safety, what you must pack, and much more.

The work involves a lot of travel, hiking, walking, packing in or out hose, digging lines, chipping, and overall “ Fight fire aggressively, having provided for SAFETY FIRST! “

We provide 5 hands crews that get sent out every fire season. Each crews consists of 20 ppl. Our crews can be dispatched to anywhere in the states. Last year crews went to California, Colorado, Arizona, Washington and here in Oregon.

We have awesome crew bosses and great comradery in every crew module. If your interested in attending in the next entry level course or have questions please send us a message.
