We took in a lot of kittens in the late spring, and you may remember this one… He and two of his littermates were found in a burn pile. He is now ready for a new home. How adorable is he? His foster mom has done such a great job with him. Please let us know if you are interested.

‘Tis the season… Just had a good Samaritan bring in two 6 week old kittens that were dumped at his house that he cannot keep. They both appear to be in good health and are both females.  They are old enough to be adopted out or if anyone is interested in fostering until a home can be found, please give us a call at 503–7 67–2755.
UPDATE;  the person that was going to meet her on the weekend has decided not to so this kitty is still up for adoption

UPDATE: kittens are safe in foster care. They were most likely dumped as they are not feral and momma could not be found.
Look who was brought in by a good Samaritan? These three kittens were found in a burn pile and need a foster home. They are about four weeks old. The two tabbies are females and the little orange kitten is a male. They are old enough that they can have formula mixed with canned food and do not have to be bottle fed. If anyone is willing to foster please give us a call at 503–767–2755.

One of our clients has two 16 week old puppies up for adoption. One male and one female. They are current on all vaccines and medical care and ready for their new home.

This dog went missing this morning from Spring St in Mill City. He has a bright orange collar. He is about 90 lbs. his name is DJ.  please let us know if you find him. His owners are worried about him.

 We wanted to let you know that the end of November will be the last day you will be able to see Dr. Millner  here at Ark.  While we are saddened to make this post,  We also recognize this opportunity to  celebrate with her as she moves on to chase the dream she has had of opening her own clinic in Salem. This is Jax! He’s a special pet of the day today because he’s looking for a new home. His owners had to move to an apartment and this guy needs some space to run! He’s such a sweet boy, well behaved! He is one year old and will be neutered! He just needs to find a good home with someone who knows Shepard’s!

Meet relish! He was thrown out of a car window and brought in to us by a Good Samaritan. He is a little scared but sooo friendly and we can tell he is just dying to find a home with someone to love him. He is looking for a home! Let us know if your interesting in adopting him!

Most of my clients have heard me say in the exam room when I ask what my favorite dental chew treat is for dogs it is hands-down bully sticks. Meet Zoey… An eight month old female pug who is full of wiggles kisses and joy. not only is she our pet of the day but she also is in need of a new home. A very difficult allergy in the family has resulted in the need to find her her forever home. She has been well cared for and is a joy to be around. we couldn’t really capture how cute she is in pictures because she is so full of wiggles and just wants to get to you to kiss you. There is a rehoming fee that can be discussed with her owners.

Update on Oliver. Pinned his leg yesterday and he is doing AMAZING! He is so happy and thankful and grateful. Yes, I speak cat and that is exactly what he said. He also said to thank everyone for the well wishes and the donations towards his care. Together we all make a difference.
Oliver appears stable this morning. He has some pretty bruised lungs (contusions) and is struggling to move with his cast on but the future will look better as he becomes accustom to it. Every day will hopefully be better than the current one for him. Maybe this video will help people identify him.
We have two pets of the day today! The first is Petey! We took a video of him showing off his tricks! What a cutie!!!!

Guess who was up to 52 pounds today? This guy! And look at him learning manners. He has a little ways to go but he learns quickly and wants to please.
Mr Vincent has now put on a couple ounces short of nine pounds!!!! And he feels great. He eats this voraciously at all three meals. His swallowing is also improving.
Sorry for the delay on the skinny Vinnie update. Here he is rocking his new coat and playing with one of his toys. He continues to gain weight and is doing better. His white cell count has come up back into the normal range, his anemia is partway resolved and headed the right direction, and his total protein is up to 6.4 which is in the normal range. His protein was incredibly low when he came in and was one of the primary problems. We are starting to mix a hydrolyzed kibble in with his limited ingredient low residue canned food and he is doing well with that so far but still has cow pie diarrhea. This afternoon he actually had a semi-formed one though so that was very encouraging

Vincent is up to 43 pounds! And his leg has turned the corner in the healing process as well. Still going to take lots of time but it is looking much much better. Here he is with a toy that was brought into him by our first client and patient of the morning. So sweet.
Morning check in from Skinny Vinnie. He has such a wonderful personality. He came in at 37.8 pounds and this morning he weighed in at 41 pounds. I call that good progress.
Vincent this morning at second breakfast. Based on his X-rays today he may indeed have megaesophagus. I'm having some specialists review the films to confirm or refute that. It would be odd to develop it at this age and as weak as he he surely would have developed a secondary pneumonia from it. None of it makes sense. But until we know otherwise we will have to feed him in a modified position to help him get the food down better. He had a almost normal stool today and has had no vomiting so those are both encouraging.
