This month, we are focusing on arthritis, a painful condition that impacts both adult and senior pets. Lauri joins us from a veterinary emergency center in Oregon. With her roots in Routt County, she is eager to return to the Yampa Valley, and we couldn't be more excited to have her on board!

We are excited to let you know about the changes here at Pet Kare Clinic. Doctors Susan and Paige will be passing the torch by selling the Pet Kare Clinic business to Dr. Chris, who will become the sole owner.

Starting December 4th, Dr. Susan will be available for house calls and will be covering shifts when the other doctors are out of the office for vacations, etc.

We have been blessed with Dr. Paige's and Susan's many years of experience. They have helped countless pets and provided support to clients in times of need. We are thrilled for all of them and look forward to the exciting journey ahead!

Additionally, we are excited to introduce Dr. Lauri Mignone. She will be joining the team beginning on December 2nd and will be an excellent addition to the Yampa Valley. Dr. Lauri comes to us from a veterinary emergency center in Oregon. She has roots here in Routt County and is excited to return home.

This is sweet Luna and she is looking for a new home! Luna is 16 years old, and would be great in a dog free home. Children are ok, but she does not like rough housing. Luna has been well kept and is in good health. She is an indoor/outdoor cat but rarely ventures outside anymore.

Happy November! 🦃
This month we are focusing on Acupuncture and Cold Laser therapy.

Acupuncture can be used as part of an integrative approach to many medical problems. Many neuro-physiologic pathways have been explored and shown to have benefit when stimulated with needles, heat, or electric stimulation.

Lasers emit light as energy. A “cold” laser emits light in wavelengths that do not cause the tissues to heat up as the energy is absorbed by the body’s cells. Cold laser therapy decreases pain both by blocking nerve signals and increasing endorphins which are the body’s natural pain killers.

Dr. Karen is a certified acupuncturist and is more than happy to talk to you about whether acupuncture can help your pet.

Colorado voters are being misled. A Veterinary Professional Associate (VPA) isn’t the same as a nurse practitioner is to a doctor—it’s a mostly online degree with a one-semester internship, yet VPAs would be allowed to perform surgery. Proposition 129 puts your pets in danger without improving access to real vet care. Vote NO on Prop. 129!
