❤️BIG NEW AT LOST LAKE BOXERS AND BUGS ❤️

We have some news about a few of are dogs. Nala are Boston terrier female is no longer part of are breeding program do to not passing her “pre breeding exam” so unfortunately no bug puppies for a little while longer. We also have so news about are male boxer rocket are sweet boy no longer lives with us because of a very heart warming connection while rehoming puppies we had a family with an autistic son come and look at puppies but there son couldn’t handle how hyper the puppies were but just adored rocket with his amazing personality the family had made multiple offers on rocket in the past months and have kept in touch and brought there son out a few times to just play with are dogs and finally we gave in the boy just loves rocket and rocket is very attached to him we are a bit heartbroken but feel we helped this family in so many ways. We miss are rocket boy a ton but still get to see him, he will remain a part of are breeding program in the future but we also plan on expanding in the next few years.

This is something everyone should see.

When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

A bit of back-story: This is a baby puppy who had a knock to his elbow and wasn't using it properly, so he was taken to the vet. There is nothing wrong in these x-rays, thankfully it is a soft tissue injury and he is expected to be fine.

It Is with a heavy heart we decided not to keep are sweet angel girl she was Are pick from this litter. Angel is such a sweet girl she is very people oriented and will just follow you where every you go. She does however get sad when her favorite person is not home And refuses to eat unless the other dogs are eating so I would prefer she goes to a home with either other dogs or where her person/people are home often. She is doing awesome on her kennel training no whining at night and only accidents here and there she is also doing pretty well with potty training in general.she will be 11 weeks on Friday and up to date on vaccines we would truly love to keep her but had a few life changing events and we aren’t going to have the time she deserves.
