Shorty's version of spicy.
Evening, happy belated veterans day. I kept trying to post all weekend but Facebook kept crashing. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend
Happy Halloween everyone. We had football practice and then went out for candy. We even made a new friend.
* not my music
The creek behind my house has water again and is moving pretty quick.
Since Mr is an older guy, the sleepy juice hits a little harder. Poor guy walked like he had one too many beers lol thought this song fit him at this time lol
Some barrel racing from the rodeo
We are here just trying to beat the heat. Enjoy shorty playing in the water
The little chicks are doing wonderful. Mom is very protective of them. My favorite is the one with the white marks on the wings
Swelling has gone down all the way. Don't mind his feet, they were due when the swelling started. Going to give him a few more days to make sure the swelling is gone and will get him a farrier visit. Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend
This is how our weekend started. Chrome has some swelling on his lower left hind leg. No heat, walking fine, and picked it up for me. Going to give some Bute for a few days, cold hose, bemer and poultice. Hope everyone's weekend is going well
Got 3 cute baby chicks from our own eggs. They are just the cutest.
Shorty got his bandage off and it looks like the abscess cleared up. I'm really thinking about buying him a halter with a nose band that says Walking Vet Bill. Love my boy but boy you about to be put in bubble wrap
Shorty looking good at the trailer
Enjoy this video of shorty getting his helmet over his face
Had a busy week, got a fence fixed and a piece of wood back on the horse shelter. Still got a few more things that need to be done but all in good time.
Part 2: Chrome and I entered into 2 exhibitions to go out of the year with having accomplished one of many goals. Many short term and some long term was met this year. 2023 has more goals made for short and long term. I was unsure of yesterday cause Chrome was a bit hyped up just doing round pen work before we left. Then when we got there he listened but was very watch of everything. Yesterday gave me good insight on what we will be working on this year. This video is the round pen work and the first exhibition
For some reason I can not select in multiples so this will be in 3 parts.
Part 1: happy new years everyone. Hope yall had a safe holiday. Whoo what a year for us. From fires, drought, hay shortage, selling horses, first season of flag football, bringing home not just a new donkey but a new horse as well, sending chrome off to a trainer to get back into barrels, to getting hay, switching county's to be closer to home and a job promotion. Looking forward to what He has planned for 2023.
Shorty has such a beautiful trot. Can't wait to start working him
Forgive my riding, I've got a lot to work on. Especially with Chrome being so forward and really powerful on the turns. I can't say thank you enough for Cassidy Noelle Thomas on working him and getting him to this point. I'm excited what next year will be and already have some goals down that I want chrome and I to accomplish. It felt so good to be back on a horse that wants to run the pattern. After the third barrel he put in a little more fight to let me let him run.
