Shelter Spotlight: Twiddle. Twiddle was adopted in January 2023 and returned due to no longer being wanted. She is a very sweet girl who loves pets and attention. She does tend to be on the shyer side with new people, but quickly warms up. She is said to be good with children. She is VERY vocal and will talk back to you even when she is getting attention. Twiddle is high energy and would do best in an active home or one with a yard to get her energy out in. She is housebroken and crate trained, and is used to being crated when left alone. She walks fairly well on a leash and rides well in a car. She is not cat or dog friendly. She is spayed, vaccinated with DHPP and Bordetella, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative and on prevention. He is a 3 year old neutered Labrador
Donner was surrendered because the previous owner was moving. He is said to be good with dogs, cats, kids, and strangers. He has never been around livestock. He is housetrained, crate trained, and does well being left alone. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. He hates being here at the shelter and has been very vocal about his displeasure. He has climbed our chain link fences so a privacy fence is a must. He loves going on walks and playing fetch. Donner has received his DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, a microchip, and he is neutered. He is pending dewormer and a heartworm test. The adopter will be responsible for getting his rabies updated.

Tazmania is an affectionate and people-friendly pup who is ready to be the center of attention in her forever home! She is a black mouth cur mix - 7 months old.
Hippie was seized from a cruelty case and is finally available. She is a sweet girl that is still learning to trust people. She will whine for attention but is still very unsure about pets and attention. She came in with other dogs, however we are unsure if she is totally dog friendly. She did come in extremely underweight and may display resource guarding in a home with other pets; she should be fed separately. Since she has not received all of her puppy vaccinations, she has not been able to go on walks to potty and has not on been a leash. Hippie is spayed, vaccinated with 2 of 3 DHPP vaccines, a Bordetella vaccine, and a rabies vaccine. She is microchipped and has been dewormed.

Eugene is 9 months old.
Eugene originally came in from a cruelty case, was adopted, then found out in the county as a stray. The previous adopter no longer wanted him when contacted. Eugene is still in his puppy era and has boundless energy. He came in with several dogs originally and did well with his finder’s senior dogs, but a meet and greet with future doggy siblings is highly recommended. He walks very well on a leash and knows how to sit. He loves giving kisses and any kind of attention. He is still a chewer since he is a puppy and stuffed toys don’t last very long in his kennel. We do not know if he is potty trained.. Eugene is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed.

Frances is 5 years old, and ready for the perfect forever home. She needs someone loving and patient!
Frances was adopted from us back in 2021 and returned due to her continuously escaping. Frances only likes being outside long enough to go potty and then wants right back in; if she gets left out, she will find or make her way out of any kennel or fencing. She has very bad separation anxiety and if you plan on leaving her in a crate for long periods of time, we highly recommend getting a heavy duty crate. She is a very sweet girl who is timid around new people. She loves to be pet and cuddled with. She does not like other animals so would do best in a home being the only pet. She does have a sensitive stomach and cannot have any chicken. Her previous adopter stated she was good with kids, was good on a leash, and was housebroken. They also stated she did not do well in crates when left alone too long. Frances will stay in a crate inside overnight here at the shelter but will bust out if she is continuously crated indoors. Frances is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
