Unfortunately, due to lack of follow through, we will not be taking any more new cat clients. We will still be doing cat nail trims.

It seems my show brings out the best, and apparently the most devious, throughout Catkind. 😸 Either way, it gives rise to classic memes like this one.

So, , do you live with the ? Send it into jacksongalaxy.com/submit, and your feline family member can be the next King/Queen of the meme-iverse!

Have you noticed that your cat has a saggy belly? Kitty hasn't eaten too many treats; it's actually a normal part of your cat's anatomy! The technical term for this belly flap, which can often be seen swaying from side to side when a cat moves, is called the primordial pouch.

This loose skin and padding at the belly provides extra protection for the abdominal area during fights when “bunny kicking” with their hind legs. It insulates and protects internal organs and allows a cat to store extra food in its belly. (Important for our ferals who sometimes go days without eating.) It also allows a cat freedom of movement to fully stretch and extend the back legs when running at high speed or jumping.

Some people believe that spaying or neutering causes this primordial pouch. This is a myth. All felines, regardless of their size, shape, or s*x have this extra flap of skin (including lions and tigers). Even cats who lose weight due to diet or illness still have these belly flaps.

(Many thanks to My Feral Fix for sharing this information!)

This is what the other side of de-clawing a cat looks like... You literally cut the tips of their toes off. They will never walk correctly. They will inevitably get arthritis as a result.
It hurts.

They don't understand what happened to them. If you don't like claws: don't own a cat. The vet should try and talk everyone out of it and only does it because otherwise the cat will lose their home...

This is CRUEL and INHUMANE! We at SIS do not support declawing.

Hello everyone! In light of the recent announcement from Governor Whitmer, we will tentatively be planning on reopening June 1st. Safety protocols will be being put in place. No worries, I'll be booking appointments in the order that requests were received. Please be patient as I try to work through this as safely as possible. I will likely be working some weird hours to help accommodate everyone. This will be temporary! More updates to come!

As much as it saddens me to be closed .. I also know we need to be united as an industry and support each others decisions. For instance I have 3 small kids and an asthmatic husband I would feel devastated if took chances and brought this home to my family. So as much as I am frustrated and sad at these events I have to abide by the order. I am taking this time to secure proper PPE and get a plan in place to open safely.
