SHANE THE ACTIVEPOWER SUPERDOG (11 Years and going)
Yesterday I posted about some young champs with dramatic performance improvements..... but have you heard of a 11 years old dog that works like he's 5 years old..... meet Shane, the only Dalmatian that I know who does IGP. Well Shane's actual name is:
UCD VPU UWPO AP4 URO3 UGWPCH CH Shamrock's Shippin Up To Boston BH RN CA BCAT ACT1 NJ-N RATI RATN NTD TT CGC
but I will call him Shane the Frogdog for short (cos in addition to being a champion weight-pull dog, he's also the best catchers of frogs in the lake that I have ever seen)
Shane owns Kelly Rose (his handler) and Kelly Rose was one of the early adopters of ActivePower products at a time when we were not as widely known or respected for the work we do and she persevered based on her own observation and judgement at a time when people with vested interests were raising a lot of FUD (Fear-Uncertainty-Doubt) nonsense. I'm especially moved when people trust an older dog with our products.... because the natural energy and vitality of youth in a younger dog can mask the ill effects of an inferior product.... but in an old dog will very rapidly be affected... so when you see a 11 year old dog doing well and working like a 5 year old then you know that you have something really special..... Kelly Rose I am going to copy your post and cross post it elsewhere if you dont mind.... it is of course my brag but I think you and I have earned it. Thank you for trusting Shane with ActivePower.
This is what Kelly has to say:
Shane is 11 years old and I have been giving him Atlas for about a year now. He also enjoys rub downs with Actorub after exercise and training! What I love about Atlas is there's non of that useless junk in it. I have to be particularly careful with Dalmatians, as they can't be given high purine foods without risking urate stone formation. Thanks for the great products that keep him moving like a young dog 😁

www.ActivePowerDogs.com
The Rule of Five!
1. Train in small 5 minute sessions
2. Train several such 5 minutes per day
3. Train every day for 5 days every week
4. Train in accordance to Learning Laws
5. Train to satisfy drives not punish them
This is Session # 5 of Building the Send-Away
!5 minute Power Conditioning for K9's
Canine Conditioning should take minutes not hours.... The foundation exercise is what I call a Rocker Down-Stand or RDS. I start the RDS first on stable & level surface then progress to stable but split level surface and then to stable and unstable surface but on the same level and so on.... Progression is dependent on the dog becoming skilled at a particular level. Keep the Reps short and the sessions frequent and always end with a massage
