‼️As many of you know, we are currently involved with the lost dog in Sterling. 🙏🏻 We are going on three days without sightings and need to rapidly start expanding flyers. Flyers take time and are VERY costly but they are the NUMBER ONE tool to bringing pets home safely. ‼️ For this dog specifically (& others in future) we need to work in bulk so we desperately need your URGENT support for more flyering supplies! 🙏🏻

‼️ “a big beautiful dark colored dog with lighter brown on neck running in my neighborhood. White Oak Farms in Leesburg va. I sited the dog at the corner of Icelandic and Warlander. The dog ran into the woods. We live very close to LCHS. I notifed animal services as well.” 🙏🏻 Please SHARE 🙏🏻

🎄All I Want for Christmas - Is A Home✨🎁

I’ve been waiting for a long time. Not loudly. Not desperately. Just quietly, with my nose pressed to the kennel door, watching the world move on without me. Every day I hope it’s my turn. Every night I curl up and wonder what it feels like to belong.

The shelter staff have been so good to me. They never let me feel forgotten. They give me warm meals, gentle words, and comfort when the days feel long. They treat me like I matter, and because of them, I still believe in love. Their kindness is the reason my tail still wags and my heart is still open.

But even with all that love, this isn’t a home. It’s a place of waiting. A place where I dream of a soft bed, a family who calls my name, and a forever I can finally settle into. I have so much love saved up for someone — I just need the chance to give it.

I dont want to spend another day wondering why I wasn’t chosen. If you can’t be my home, please share my story so it can reach the person who is. I am at Loudoun County Animal Services & I cant wait to meet you!

👉🏻 When we reached out for help, Amber didn’t ask questions or hesitate. Boots on the ground, heart fully in it, she immediately got to work for a dog who had just been adopted, was recovering from surgery, and was so scared she was running from her own shadow.

But Amber knew exactly what to do. She set up feeding stations, tracked movements, and patiently gathered the information needed to place a trap safely and appropriately.

No rushing.
No shortcuts.

Just experience, compassion & determination.

Day after day & night after night - Amber showed up. She grilled, adjusted plans, followed the signs, and stayed committed until the moment everything came together.

& because of that dedication - we are happy to share Blair was trapped last night!! ❤️

Behind Amber stood two incredible women - A huge thank you to Cindy and Mary through this — supporting, helping, and doing the unseen work that made this rescue possible.

This is what quiet heroism looks like.
Showing up when it’s hard.
Doing the work when no one is watching.

Giving a scared, healing dog the chance to feel safe again. 🙏🏻
