to provide humane sheltering and high quality medical care for stray, unwanted, abused and neglected animals and to find loving, lifelong homes for orphaned pets. Our staff is dedicated to finding good homes for adoptable pets and we continue to promote responsible pet ownership and to improve the quality of life for the animals and people in our community. The Shelter is supported entirely by donations from private individuals and through surrender and adoption fees. does not receive support from the United Way or from federal, state or local governments. Our on-site veterinary clinic cares for over 2,000+ animals that come through our shelter yearly and provides a low/no cost spay/neuter, general wellness program assisting local animal control officers, shelters and breed rescues. MEET THE STAFF FAVORITES THIS WEEK - If you're looking for a buddy to hang out with or go for a walk or hike meet Tango and Cash! These brothers came to us from our partner shelter in Texas. They are 9 months old and we are guessing they lab/shepherd mixes and both looking for loving new homes. They would both love to find a loving lifelong home this week. They are very sweet and would do well in an active home that would give them lots of exercise and teach them their manners. They are very clean here in the kennel so housetraining should be a breeze. They are happy to also just lay on their beds and chew a toy or dog safe bone/treat. Come meet them this week!

Hi friends, please give a warm Massachusetts welcome to our sweet Texas girl, Gigi! We took Gigi in from our southern partner Friends of Marshall Animals after she was shot in her front leg. When Gigi arrived to us we knew she must be in pain but you couldn't tell because her southern charm didn't let it show. She has always been the happiest little lady and didn't let her leg injury slow her down. She is great with all people as well as other dogs. Due to this horrible incident though, our vet recommended amputating her leg to give her the ability to live her best life. One of our amazing vets amputated her leg and she has been healing well in a foster home. She did have a minor setback with some swelling and inflammation requiring a visit to urgent care. We are hoping to raise funds to cover the cost of her surgery and follow up which has exceeded $1000. If you would like to donate towards her care we (and Gigi!) would be very grateful!

We are hoping to find loving lifelong homes for the dogs and puppies we currently have at the shelter - in hopes of emptying our kennel...so we can help save more animals. We are overwhelmed with requests for help from so many other groups all over the U.S. and sadly we've had to turn them down because we have many dogs that need homes.
