Lions, and tigers, and Big Tiny, oh my!

might have Pesto the Penguin, but we have Big Tiny, the not so tiny cat 🐈

Big Tiny recently came to us with his bonded brother, Obie, after their owners surrendered them in West Virginia. If you can't tell, he is a gentle giant and serves as one of the best big blobs around!

His easygoing personality and calm nature have made him a fan favorite! If you're looking for a couple of "big" friends, Obie and Big Tiny are ready for you! ✨️

Seriously, Beau loves a good nap, and we love to tell Beau how good of a boy he is when he gets up to make a lap around the lounge! Everyone gets so excited if Beau chooses to get up, make his BIG stretches, and then beg for attention during their stay (it really does make you feel like the best person around!) ✨️

Today, we were scheduled to make a huge post about how Meows Corner has completed over 100 new adoptions since the new ownership took over in January (and don't worry, that post will come later!)

However, one of the most important things to know about the new ownership is our reason for taking over Meows Corner - we wanted the opportunity to help cats have a second chance at life and find their new forever homes at a large scale! Another interesting thing to know about the new owners - we moved to the northern VA areas for our careers, but we were born and raised in southwestern VA, and have spent the last week watching our friends and family grapple with the impacts of the hurricane.

Over the past week, those communities have struggled with the devastation that has occurred. While relief efforts will be ongoing for months, we wanted to find a way to fulfill our mission, which is to help animals (especially cats!) in any way possible!

Meows Corner is going to host a donation drive to collect pet supplies for our furry friends who have been affected by the hurricane! We are collecting donations of cat food (both dry and canned), cat litter, toys, treats, bedding, towels, etc. We are partnering with an organization that will be taking supplies into the southwestern VA area in the next week and will also be hand-delivering pet supplies in the area in a few weeks.

*While we are primarily collecting cat supplies (because they can often be overlooked), if you have dog food/supplies, please feel free to go ahead and bring it! We will still make sure it gets distributed to the communities that need it.

Our sweet Daisy girl is a little more shy and reserved, but she loves slow, patient people who can love on her (and give her treats!) She came to us through a partnership with a rescue in North Carolina that needed help with extra kittens ❤️

Very cutesy ✨️

This beautiful (and sassy!) girl marches to the beat of her own drum! She loves being the boss and would do well as a solo cat or with another tolerant cat that will let her be the head queen 👑

Even though she is three-years-old, she will play for hours chasing the laser pointer or feather toys! Once she is comfortable with you, she cuddles up next to you and occasionally climbs into a lap or two!
