We can not stress enough the importance of being prepared for veterinary emergency! Heres a real picture fron a real event. Dont wait for a need… prepare ahead of time…..because injuries , illnesses and generall age related Issues WILL HAPPEN. No matter how good of a pet parent you are.

We don’t help you rehome your dog, please do not send people to us for help with rehoming. WE HELP PEOPLE KEEP THEIR DOGS AND BUILD A PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE by providing education, training and resources

PSA: we only offer private training for dangerous and/or aggressive dogs. We offer group classes to the general public

Unsure what that means? One or more of the below:
-dog bites (drawing blood)
-dog attacks other dogs
- dog attacks people
- dogs intent is to cause harm
- dog has caused harm
- dog is under court ordered training or court has ordered behavioral evaluation
- dog has tickets against it for attempting to cause harm (aggressively chasing people or other animals, biting, etc)
- the local authorities have told you your dog might be or is aggressive

It’s not for lack of wanting to help everyone it’s because we don’t have the staff or funding required to do private training for free for everyone.

Stop heightening your dogs arousal. If you want neutral you need to be neutral.

Dont say “wanna go for walkies” do calmly and quietly get the leash, ask for a sit, wait for your dog to be calm. Even if you need to wait a while to put the leash on.

Dont say “mommies going bye bye you stay here” get your things, if your dog follows you to the door simply say no and redirect them back to their space or their toys.

Dont say “who is it , what are you barking at, why, shush, shut up” say no, and redirect them back to their space

When? At least 2x per day at the same times each day

Structured walks for both heel control and freedom.
FOR NON- REACTIVE DOGS. (Different structure for reactive dogs)

1. (Standard leash) Start the walk with walk-sit- watch to reinforce looking to you for direction and that your in charge of this walk

2. (Long line) switch to the long line and allow your dog the freedom to move ahead calmly to smell, jog, search. Do several recalls during the long leash freedom time.

3. (Standard leash) recall your dog switch to the standard leash, do a few walk - sit- watch to engage your dog in cooperation with you and have them walk in the heel position. If your dog is pulling ahead do reversals excersise.

DOGS- Frost bite can develop in 30 minutes at 32 degrees with moisture in the air and wind chill. It is not safe to have your dogs outdoors in this weather. A dog house will not protect your dog.

Generally with or with out wind chill and moisture“Frostbite can occur at any temperature of freezing or below.”
