Attention AVC Clients:

We will be closed this Thursday November 28th for Thanksgiving! We will be open the rest of the week for normal business hours. If you think your pet will need anything before the Holiday please don't hesitate to call or stop in and ask, otherwise we will be open Friday for anything you may need!

*URGENT NEED TO REHOME*

This note is straight from the owner:

“These two are the sweetest dogs. They are good with puppies, grown dogs, kittens, and grown cats. They are not aggressive and are generally not pushy with new animals. Both of them are very good with kids of all sizes and are gentle.

Honey loves to play fetch and probably shouldn’t have a ball in the house as she will bring it to you for hours (classic sports border collie). She is extremely intelligent and very sensitive to your emotions. She has been a service dog prospect in training for the past two years. I have recently had to wash her as a candidate. She longs to be a pet and enjoy running with kids or playing for hours. She is leash trained with a gentle leader and a harness.

Honey needs food with no grains.

Scarlet is a “lay at your feet all day” kind of dog. She just wants to relax and be near you. She is wonderful on a leash and will walk at your heel with just a collar.

I would prefer they go together as they have bonded over the last year in each others company. My physical health has deteriorated with two back to back pregnancies and I’m unable to give them attention during the day. They would both do well with land, a six foot fence, or with someone who is able to let them out consistently as inside dogs.

Honey has started becoming an escape artist with our small fence and scarlet follows. (If scarlet gets out, she has sat by the fence until you are there to bring them in)

They are kennel trained as well as good in a small room when left alone, but have not been left to free roam in a house.

They are not spayed, but we will bring them up to date on all vaccinations before rehoming them.

They will both come with XL kennels, collars, leashes, a bag of their food, a gentle leader for honey, and a few other odds and ends.

These girls are so wonderful and deserve to have the best home/s for them to thrive.

I will ask lots of questions and will want to meet you to decide if it will be a good fit.”

Thank you to all of our amazing clients who participated in our Halloween contests! We have attatched a photo of the winner of the coloring contest, and we will be calling the winners of our treat counting contest shortly!

The Halloween coloring contest voting has begun!! Please come in and make your votes! The final day for votes will be October 30th so please make sure you come in before then and please feel free to bring your kiddos in to see their pictures all hung up!

It's getting spooky at the Ark Vet Clinic! 🎃

To celebrate the month of October we will be holding a few scary good contests for all of our amazing clients to participate in!

For adults and older kids we have a treat guessing game! All you have to do is take a guess at how many treats are in each jar and the closest guess will win a prize! But we made it a little tricky, there may be more than you think! 👻 Feel free to come in and guess during normal business hours, both jars will be up at the front desk with places to put your guesses! One guess per jar per client please! We will take guesses all the way up until October 30th!

For the younger kiddos we have a coloring contest! We have 4 different pictures to choose from, and they need to have them brought back to us by Wednesday, October 23rd. All of the pictures that get brought back will be hung up in the clinic and voted on by whoever comes in. There will be a prize for the picture with the most votes! Please limit the pictures brought back to one per child!

The winners for each contest will be announced on October 31st and we will get in touch with the winners directly! We can't wait to see all of the awesome pictures you color and guesses you all make!

This sweey boy is named Jake and he is looking for a new home!
He is about a year old and an intact male Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. Jake is a very sweet boy and loves people but he likes to escape his fence to go play with his neighbor friends so he needs somewhere with a lot of land, a sturdy fence, or a friend to keep him around! He is dog and cat friendly, but has not been tested with other livestock or kids. He does need some work with house training and jumping if he's going to be an inside dog but with some work he should be able to adjust!

We need your help finding out where these boys belong!!!

I do believe people have posted them out and about running around town over the past few days and they have been spotted again! It looks like the darker black and white one does have a tag from our clinic on him but he is very skittish and hard to get close enough to read the tag. Neither of them look very old, and the lighter one is easier to catch and a little more friendly with strangers!

Please help us find her home!!

This sweet girl was brought in to us yesterday by a kind soul who found her wandering around town in the Jackson Street area. She had some wounds on her and was very hot and tired so we took her in hoping we would be able to help her find her way home!

She is very sweet but a little timid around new people and in this new environment! She loves treats and seems like she’s been in a home before because she does sit for treats. She’s a large dog, about 60-70 pounds and doesnt seem to be very old, not any older than about 2 years old. We did try to scan her for a chip and couldn’t find one!
