FIREWORKS ARE GOING TO BE THIS WEEKEND!!
FIREWORKS ARE ALSO HAPPENING FOR FOURTH OF JULY.

As much as you think your pup WOULDNT run away… they are still animals and survival instincts will kick in so fast if they are alarmed by the fireworks.

KEEP THEM INSIDE as soon as the sun goes down, give some mental games for them to keep busy, a cozy place to hide, a thunder jacket, CBD oil to keep them calm, etc. you knoww tour dog best and know what keeps them happy. Make an enrichment bowl for dinner!

KEEP WINDOWS CLOSED.
i cannot tell you how many stories i’ve heard of people losing their pets because they jumped through a window to run away from fireworks.
They don’t understand where the noise is coming from or what it is, they have no concept of holidays, so they run from whatever they can.

PUT A COLLAR WITH A TAG ON YOUR PET
i do not suggest leaving a dog unsupervised with a collar on, as i’ve seen and heard too many horror stories. but if your pet for any reason is outside during after sundown, put a tag on their collar with a name, address, and phone number. hopefully your pet is microchipped too!

PLAN for these events, and let’s decrease the number of dogs lost this year. You wouldn’t expect it to happen, but it could be your pup that runs away this year! Do everything you can to prevent it.

Shelters are overwhelmed with pups right now- let’s not make it any worse!! KEEP YOUR DOG INSIDE WITH A COLLAR AND TAG.

ATTENTION!

- we are doing more and more work with shelter pups to help groom and take care of their needs. However, shaving down pelted pups kills our blades and will require more maintenance on our equipment. If you feel led to donate blades, brushes, etc. please reach out and let me know. I will be making an Amazon list soon today and will be posting it. The shelter is also in need of some things that I will put on a list as well.
