Meet Beau, Lucky Dog Ranch's newest member. He is a Husky-German Shepherd mix with the perfect combination of looks and love. At first glance, he's got that classic 'don't mess with me' shepherd vibe—so yes, you'll definitely get all the scary dog privilege. But here's the secret: Beau doesn't have a scary bone in his body. Instead, he's what we lovingly call a 'broken shepherd.' Calm in new situations, endlessly gentle, and happiest when he's curled up giving hugs, Beau is more likely to melt into your lap than guard the door. He's proof that behind that strong shepherd look is the heart of the sweetest snuggle bug you'll ever meet.

Bear 🐻 🩷

Bear is full of life and always up for a game of fetch, a zoom around the yard, or some good old-fashioned playtime. He’s the perfect size—not too big, not too small—and has just the right amount of s***k to keep things exciting.

Bear does have a few boundaries: he’s not a fan of people messing with his food or bones, so a home without young kids is probably best. He’ll thrive with someone who respects his space and understands dog behavior.

If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion who’s always down for an adventure (and maybe a nap after), Bear might just be your guy!

This handsome boy is Jaxson!

Jaxon was so unbelievably sweet, and has good manners. 🩷 he greeted me at the door and was happy to cuddle on his bed.

He offered a sit, down, and paw for treats- which tells me he will be easily trained. He also took treats very gently!

I don’t expect this sweet boy to be up for adoption very long! Someone needs to adopt him quick!

Kane is such a lover! He was playful but also gentle he loved to catch treats in mid-air! This handsome boy has the prettiest brown eyes and will definitely steal someone’s heart!

SHORTY!!!
Okay all, I’ve heard a million times from a million people (not really, but a few) that they want a pup like Meeko.

Well here he is… all the way down to the SAME ear having a “defect” for lack of better term.

Shorty is a little hesitant of some people from what I’ve been told. He was on guard with me but as soon as I talked to him like I do Meeko (assertive but friendly) he came right to me with his goofy little smile.

Shorty is a HIGH energy pup. He will herd. He is a herding breed. It can be managed and trained BUT that is what they are bred for- as much as everyone sees how trained Meeko is, you’d be suprised to see my legs from how Meeko gets me when he’s super hyper.

Shorty was so smart and willing to try the obstacles they have set out. I fell absolutely in love with him, and if I had the space he’d be Meeko’s new brother in a heart beat.

Hes goofy, loving, and smart. What more could you want?!

I will say with this breed, you can’t expect a dog that’s going to cuddle 24/7. This breed is for an ACTIVE person/family. They NEED to be worked both mentally and physically. But they are one of the most rewarding breeds to own. Truly a man’s (or woman’s) bestfriend.

First, we have Maverick! Yes I’m biased and I’m not ashamed, cattle dogs have my heart.

Maverick is such a loving boy and a TRUE heeler. He loves to run and play. He showed me his super cool zoomies.
He is super attentive for treats and quick to the sit and down position to get them!

Herding dogs WILL herd. Sometimes they may not be ideal for a family with little ones, however I believe it can be worked with through training of the pup AND humans. All dogs deserve boundaries and a space to go to when they want alone time.
