WE CLEARED THE SHELTER! 🎉 More than 100 animals found their forever homes in just two days!!!

After almost two years of operating at or beyond our capacity, we cannot believe that our entire kennel is almost empty!

We still have two dogs at the shelter that are available for adoption - Azul and Cheetah - but everyone else has been adopted! We cannot thank all of the wonderful families who adopted this weekend enough! Our staff and volunteers worked so hard to make this event happen and to create lifesaving outcomes for the pets in our care.

We still have two wonderful dogs at the shelter, and several more in foster homes, waiting for their forever! Please consider opening your home to a shelter pet 💙

🎾 Happy Work Like a Dog Day!

🐶 Dogs have all sorts of jobs, from guiding the visually impaired to wildlife detection work at wind facilities.

🐾 Their ability to assist is truly limitless, adapting to diverse roles with unwavering dedication...

🤔 Now that we think about it, our entire hospital team reflects that sentiment PERFECTLY.

💫 Meet your Miracle

🚨 Roxy was seen after acutely vomiting with development of neurologic signs, including tremors. She arrived with a body temperature of 106.4.

🩺 It turns out Roxy got into some moly bologna. From our friends at , "Toxins called tremorgenic mycotoxins can form in spoiled, moldy food. Ingestion of these toxins can cause acute tremors, which can range from mild to life-threatening."

🏥 Although Roxy's chance of survival with aggressive treatment was promising, these medical services are costly. Keeping the lights on, ensuring round-the-clock staffing, maintaining state-of-the-art equipment, and delivering top-notch veterinary care all contribute to our operational expenses.

🤲 With the help of the Miracle Fund (i.e., your contribution), we were able to assist Roxy and her family. Thank you all for looking out for each other in this wonderful community.

My boys love their carrots! 🥕 🥕

Cold or frozen carrots are a great treat option for dogs, especially in this heat. ☀️
They are low calorie, rich in vitamins and have a high water content. The crunching & chewing also helps clean their teeth by scraping plaque & tartar buildup!
